通过对2014年新版九年级英语Unit2 I think that mooncakes are delicious! Section B reading 这节课的教学,我认识到自己应该静下心来,反思一下自己的一些教学方法以及初三英语阅读课的教学模式。
众所周知,九年级是整个初中阶段的重要一年,也是最关键的一年,而面对听,说,读,写中,占?考试比例,分值最大的阅读又是重中之重,怎样提高学生的阅读能力,帮助其在阅读题中找到方法成为我备本节课的着手点。
首先由圣诞节经常听到的歌曲导入本节课对圣诞节真谛的学习,所有学生都带着好奇心准备好这节课的内容。然后我对圣诞节的由来,标志,活动,时间进行了讲解,这一部分本想放手于学生,让其自由讨论,但考虑大部分学生对西方节日的不熟悉,还是转换为教师启发为主。然后针对这篇大课文,从文章结构上按照总分总的模式来理解课文内容,从阅读模式上按略读与细读相结合的方式。先快速的读课文,找出main characters,熟悉这篇文章中的主要角色。第一次阅读任务完成的不错,大部分学生都能按照我的方法找到对应答案,积极性都较高。然后进行细度,细节理解段落。第一段设置了两个问题,让学生带着问题进行阅读,从文中直接划出答案。第二段把男生女生分成两组,分别完成学案中的任务一与任务二,答案的核对上让每组的两个代表板书在黑板上。第三段完成课本当中2c的表格,并且与同桌进行探讨答案。第四段让学生根据四个提示词来探讨How did Scrooge change?答案的核对上让学生起来复述这一段。最后在通过两个问题的设置上来总结这篇文章。在第二轮阅读中,部分学生无从下手,或是没有找到答案,积极性降低了。这个时候一直徘徊阅读课是以讲解文中的重点短语为主还是练习其阅读能力为主的我,对自己的备课内容画了一个大问号,学生的积极性不高,是都没懂我的指令还是文章过于难呢?可能在于我对任务的分配不合理上,学生没有在短时间内完成相应任务,使积极性降低了。在第三环节的language points我对重点短语进行了练讲解。
通过对本节课的总结,我反思到无论是阅读课,还是预习展示课,无论是下放的指令还是任务,都不能贪多,要以一带一的让学生走进我们每个老师为他们设计的教学情景中来,使学生在完成一个任务之后得到满足感,快乐欣然地接受下一个任务,而不是教师牵着,一个任务一个任务机械式的完成。同时在课后对学生的问卷了解中,使我更加坚定了阅读课的模式应该引领学生自主阅读的方式,提高其阅读能力,锻炼其阅读技巧,而非曾经的语法对着语法。在探索阅读课模式的路上,我们还会遇到很多困难,不过这些都是我们的经历,就让这些经历伴随我们快速成长起来吧!

这部分主要是围绕着西方的圣诞节来展开,主要介绍西方国家的文化,侧重节日的文化内涵,让学生更深层次地理解西方文化。这个节日对于我国城市学生来说可能相对更熟悉,但其内涵和意义却未必熟知。因此,教师应当适当的铺垫或引导,鼓励学生在课外阅读,查阅相关书籍,杂志或网络信息了解西方圣诞节,以及与圣诞节相关的故事或小说。这样既可以拓展学生的视野,又可节省教师的课堂处理时间,同时也便于学生理解听力和阅读文本的内容,减轻因背景文化积累不足所带来的学习压力。
从语言上看,这一部分呈现了这个节日及相关的专属文化词汇,并进一步强化对重点句型结构的学习。在技能方面,则通过“听说入手-突出阅读-创写语篇”的过程培养学生的综合语言技能;在策略上,侧重训练学生对阅读的深层理解,即除了理解语言的表层含义外,还应当培养学生的推断能力,读懂作者在自里行间所表达的深层含义。从文化意识和情感价值观的角度来看,该部分的阅读语篇通过探讨圣诞节的含义,讲述吝啬鬼Scrooge 的转变,目的在于想学生传达以下信息:关爱,同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富,人人应当将之继承及弘扬,以爱心回报社会。
