一、Warmer:1. Say the chant learnt in last class to review English. There was an old woman.2. Review the sentences that the students have learnt, How many --- were there There was/ were---.Ask and answer in pairs3. And learn the new words: come-came competitionwin-won gold cup practice Read the new words and do actions二、Presentation1) Ask the children to look at the picture.Say that you are going to call a child to say out the meaning of the story2) Watch the video. And ask the children some questionDid the English children come for the music competition When did they come What did the girl play 3) Learn the new drills: When did they come What did the girl play Let the Ss get ready for the class. Let the Ss learn and understand the dialogue well.

Tell the children its meaning and how to answerPractice in pairs三、Practice1) Divide the class into two groups and have the students close their books.2) Explain that you are going to play the rape. One group has to listen for When did they come--- and the second group has to listen for What did she play …When they hear their expression, they must put up theirhands and then put them down. 3) Listen to the tape and repeat.4) After that, ask children some questions 四、Consolidation1. Play the tape again. This time ask them to follow the sentences according to what they hear. 2. Divide the class into two groups. The whole class acts the dialog without the tape, with each group saying the corresponding text. 五、SummaryPractice the new drills: When did------ What did------ Consolidate the new knowledge.
