Teaching process
Designing purpose
Step Ⅰ Warming-up and leading-in
Enjoy the popular Chinese song by TF boys ( Greetings and free talk.) While listenging, the teacher can ask some Ss : Can you sing this song? Some Ss can answer, but some can’t.
Step Ⅱ Presentation and practice
Show some pictures of stars(TF boys/Sun Yang/Yang Liping) to present the new words and target language: What can he/she/the do?
While learn the words , give Ss a chant to practice it interestingly.
After talking about the stars abilities, the Ss will be willing to talk about their own talents. So the teacher ask them: What can you do? and show the new words.
After this step, Ss do a guessing pairwork to practice the target language.(the special questions)
3. Give Ss a general question to let them answer:
Can Sun Yang/Yang Liping/TF boys sing/play chess/draw?
Yes/No, he/she/they can/ can’t.
Ss try to answer. Then the teacher show the talking Tom. The talking Tom knows the answer. So it give the answer .Ss listen and say.
Afer talking about the stars new ability, the teacher will ask Ss whether they have the same ability:
Can you sing/ play chess/draw?
The teacher also asks this student to interview others whether they have the ability in order to practice the new language type.
Step Ⅲ Listening practice
Ss listen to the three conversations and number the orders.

1.Discussion about the questions about can.
⑴它能不能句子当中做谓语?
⑵它后面是接动词原形还是动词的其它形式?
⑶它有没有人称和数的变化?
Ss work in groups to talk about the questions.
Ss watch the mini-video to learn the usage of can.
StepⅤ Extension: Joining the clubs
1. Ss Learn the clubs: English/sports/swimming… club
The teacher present the last target language: What club do you want to join? Ss will have their own answers to say.
2. 俱乐部成员招聘会
The teacher tells the Ss that the school clubs are wanting some new members. Then ask them whether they want to join.
The teacher then tell them the procedure :
⑴ Ss write down the peronal information on the card.
( While Ss are writing , the teacher will find some Ss to be the interviewers.)
⑵ The interviewers will come to the Ss to collect the information cards through an interview.
A:What’ s your name?
B: My name is Tom.
A:What club do you want to join?
B:I want to join the music club.
A: Can you sing?
B: Yes, I can.
A: So, you can join our music club.
⑶ At last Ss show the results to see which club is the most popular one.

通过分别呈现老师喜爱的明星及学生喜爱的明星来学习新句型和单词,谈论别人的能力,使学生有表达的欲望。
运用歌谣的方式学习单词,更利于学生上口和记忆。
从谈论他人再过渡学生自身,来呈现第一人称的目标语言,学生非常自如和乐意表达自己的能力,在此过程中又学习新单词。
在学习完新单词后,通过猜谜的两人游戏来练习第三人称的对话。
通过考验学生对于明星其他能力知多少来呈现一般疑问句的句型。学生尝试回答后,老师播放Tom猫通过声音来呈现答案。学生增加了学习兴趣。
在了解明星是否具备这三种能力后,老师采访学生们是否具备。师生示范后讲话语权转交学生,学生去亲自采访同学。
听力练习从听力方面训练学生新语言的掌握能力。
在“听—说—听”后让学生思考语法。首先思考几个关于can 的问题,然后带着问题去看can的用法的视频。
在巩固环节引入第三个新句型,并且运用此句型做活动,在“做中学”。学生通过和招募者的对话进一步巩固前面所学内容。
在巩固活动后进行情感升华,让学生学会相信自我,欣赏自我,提高自我。

一、教材内容
本单元的标题为Can you play the guitar? 第一课时Section A(1a-1c)是听说课,话题为:谈论某人的能力。教材设计为1)教学有关课外活动的词汇. 2)听别人谈论他们的课外活动。 3)谈论自己某一方面的能力。
二、教材的地位及作用
新课程标准》中指出,语言课程丰富的人文内涵对学生精神领域的影响是深远的,学生对于英语材料的反应又是多元的.因而英语课要重视英语的熏陶感染作用,注意教学内容的价值取向.本课时是本单元的第一课时,教材内容围绕着谈论自己某一方面的能力展开,让学生学会谈论自己及别人的能力,符合语言认知规律和学生心理特点。在词汇学习上既承接了前一单元的制定计划、谈论日常活动又为后一单元谈论某人的何时做某事打好基础。本课的教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流。在学习活动中运用句型进行交际,培养学生的口语表达能力。让学生在学习及应用中,复习巩固以前所学知识,并加以创新,并用到实践中。通过伙伴交流,师生问答的形式,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进友谊。本课是谈论学生某一方面的能力,与学生课外活动息息相关,有利于培养学生高雅的生活情趣。
三、教学目标

四、教学重难点
重点:学习并记住本课新单词、短语及谈论某方面的能力。

难点:听力训练
制定依据:
1.学生由小学升入初中正是由儿童向青少年过渡时期,她们的世界观、价值观正处于形成时期。本篇文章价值观念倾向明显,因此,在教学中帮助学生建立正确的价值观。
2.由于才接触英语四个月,学生课后还没养成说英语的习惯,还没掌握应有的听力技巧,没达到新课标对初一学生听力能力的要求。
五、教法、学法分析及依据
根据新课改、新目标、及本课教学内容、学生情况,为达到本课制定的学习目标,我制定了以下的教法、学法。
教法:
用多媒体展开新单词,扩大语言输入量,联系生活采用情景化教学。
创设语境,通过两人 和四人小组活动巩固词汇和熟练句型.
采用“任务型”教学途径。
学法:依据新课改的精神,我从以下几个方面对学生进行学法指导。?
⒈学习方法的指导?:培养学生观察力,想象力,记忆力以及思维能力。 用生动的课件调动学生的感观进行听说读写的训练。?
⒉学习积极性的调动??:我在教学过程中创造一种开放的,和谐的,积极互动的语言氛围,把课堂变成有声有色的舞台,让学生在乐中学。?
⒊学习能力的培养:通过连贯的听说读写,游戏,竞赛等,培养学生的交际能力,发展他们的思维能力。?
