教学过程:
本单元的主题是谈论假期活动,教学内容贴近学生的实际生活,因而在课堂教学中主要采取情景教学和活动教学,让学生回忆假期中做过的有意义的事情,用以前学过的及本单元所学的词汇与句型进行交流;采取直观教学法,运用图片、多媒体学习新知识,利用小组活动操练,掌握重点句型。

第二课时 教材分析
一、教学内容在整个课程教材体系中的地位
Where did you go on vacation ?是人教版新目标英语八上第一单元,本单元的核心话题是用一般过去时谈论假期活动等发生在过去的事情。人教版新目标英语在七年级下册已经学过Unit11“How was your school trip?” Unit12“What did you do last weeked?” 用一般过去时谈论过去发生的事情,八上第一单元是在此基础上让学生复习、巩固对一般过去时的理解和运用。本单元侧重与假期活动有关的词汇和语言结构的学习,以及该话题下的听说训练。本节课是整个单元中的第二课时,重点是在第一课时的基础上练习运用一般过去时就假期活动进行问答的相关句型,以及常见不定代词的使用,包括形容词对不定代词的修饰,学习正确、得体的运用相关形容词描绘假期活动,表达自己的感受,在语言技能上为学生听、说、读的综合性训练。
二、不同教材版本对相关内容的处理
Where did you go on vacation ?鲁教版新教材安排在七年级上第五单元,第三单元“How was your school trip?”第四单元“What did you do last weeked?”在此基础上要求学生用一般过去时谈论自己的假期活动。
三、课程教学资源的整合取舍
本单元的教学内容是学会谈论发生在过去的事情;能听懂以谈论假期做过的事情和谈论过去的事件及自己的感想为话题的语言材料,并获取相关信息。学生能以“Talking about holidays and vacations”,“Talking about past events”为话题与他人进行交流;能利用该话题进行情景对话及角色表演。话题内容与学生的实际生活息息相关,容易激发学生的兴趣,从而乐于运用简单的英语与他人进行交流。学习活动中学生通过交换对过去发生的事情的描述及看法,从而促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进友谊,所以有利于教师创造性的使用教材,本着“源于教材而高于教材”的理念,对教材进行第二次“加工”:
1、调整、整合教材:根据课件提示操练目标中的重点句型后,接着出示图片学习SectionB 1a的形容词,让学生学习形容词描述假期感受,也为学习形容词修饰不定代词做好基础;
2、深入挖掘补充教材:(1) Imagine you are Linda,you met your good friend Alice yesterday,so you and Alice talked about vacation. Use what you have learned make a conversation . 创设情景,让学生在交际活动中学会如何正确用英语谈论自己及询问他人过去的事情与经历,重在培养学生的语言运用能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。(2)在处理3a后,设计了report环节,You are Linda,tell us something about yourgood friend Alice’s vacation.,让学生读后根据教师提示(Alice went to Sanya, It was her first time to Sanya, so everything was ……She went there with ……,……,She had a fun vacation.)改写短文做汇报,既让学生练习不定代词用法,又训练学生利用所学知识介绍他人的假期活动;(3)处理3b后,设计了4个问题1、Where did Mark go on his vacation? 2、How was his vacation? 3、What was the problem? 4、Did anyone seem bored?让学生读后回答,检测学生对短文的理解;

四、教材内容的重难点分析
依据课程标准和教材特点以及八年级学生的特点,把整个单元划分为六课时,分别是对话课(p1-2)、听说课(p3-4)、阅读课(p5-6)、写作课(p7-8)、复习课、讲评课。第二课时的教学重点是:(1)通过对话训练,熟练掌握重点句型: --Where did you/they/he/she go on vacation? -- I/They/He/She went to the mountains/ New York City/ beach /summer camp.

本节课是《新目标英语》八年级上册第1 单元where did you go on vacation? 第二课时。本单元的核心话题是用一般过去时谈论假期活动。学生在七年级下学期第11单元和第12 单元已接触过一般过去时,具有了学习本单元知识的认知前提,能自然地与本单元话题进行衔接。本节课是在第一课时学习假期活动有关的词汇和语言结构的基础上,在话题下的听说训练,是本单元的的知识语言输出部分。???????????????
一、充分利用任务型教学法和情景交际法,联系学生的生活实际,学以致用
本单元的话题是学生很感兴趣的假期活动,为了让学生更好的把语言学习与现实生活结合起来,加强感知,让学生用所学语言做事情,我针对学生实际在课堂上设计了Linda 遇见好朋友Alice,两人谈论假期活动的场景;3a学习了不定代词的用法后,又设计了Linda介绍好朋友Alice假期活动,让学生将3a的对话改写为短文做汇报;最后设计了Role play,让学生以小组为单位进行场景模拟表演,一位学生扮演记者,采访组内其他同学如何度假及度假感受,要求学生变换使用本节所学的句型,指导学生创造性地运用学过的语言材料进行交际。句型操练是英语口语课堂教学的重要环节和必要手段,本节课遵循英语口语课堂教学的操练原则,在课堂设计上体现了任务型教学的主导思想,以任务贯穿教师教学和学生活动的各个环节,自始至终将任务设置在在情景中进行教学,巩固和应用了Section A第一课时部分所学句型,在不同情景中进行了大量的听说练习,激发学生学习英语兴趣,让学生在学英语中用英语,学用结合,以提高学生的听说技能,培养学生英语交际能力。
二、运用小组活动,增强有效的教学参与,加强训练密度和广度
本节课,设计了很多pairwork和groupwork,让学生俩俩对话操练句型,四人小组对话,小组讨论,互帮互助,让学生体验,实践,参与,合作与交流的学习方式,增强了学生的参与度,不同的训练形式,不同的情景设置,提升了学习兴趣,又活跃了课堂,使学生形成积极的情感态度,自主学习的能力,让自主学习和交流成为这节课的灵魂。课堂上做完一组对话时,我根据学生的对话内容,随机提问,这就要求学生注意力高度集中,才能回答教师的问题,同时也锻炼学生在听同学说的时候,记关键词,这样的操练使学生的兴奋点、注意力得到极大的激发,pairwork和groupwork在课堂上的大量运用,使学生无论成绩好、差,人人都能参与,学生在活动时都被一种积极的情感所支配,大大激发他们参与课堂教学的热情,调动他们的积极性。学生是活动的主体,课堂上大部分的时间交给了学生,教师仅仅是引导,以教师为中心的课堂教学转变为以学生为中心,学生成为教学的主体。
三、适当整合教材,服务教学
为了更好的让教材服务于教学,本着“源于教材而高于教材”的理念,根据实际情况,我对教材进行第二次“加工”:

四、加强对学生英语学习策略的指导
“授人以鱼,不如授人以渔”,在教学过程中注重学生的听的能力,以往在训练的过程中都注重听力训练,采取先让学生听,理解其大意,再听,结束后直接评讲,这样的方法适用中等以上的学生,但是这样的训练很机械、导致知识不连贯,没有达到听力能力的培养。本节课听前让学生进行热身活动,做了大量的pairwork和groupwork,熟悉了话题,熟悉了相关词语和句型,接受了背景信息,提出需要解决的问题,给学生明确具体任务。听中让学生听信息,并记关键词,听后让学生口头回答问题,小组讨论,课堂上学生的听力部分很轻松的按照要求完成任务。由此可见,教师要加强学生学习策略的指导,教给学生适当的方法,事半功倍。
教学不足:
1、在处理3b时,先让学生用不定代词按要求填空,为了检测学生对e—mail的理解,我设计了4个问题:(1)Where did Mark go on his vacation?(2)How was his vacation? (3)What was the problem? (4)Did anyone seem bored?让学生小组讨论,互帮互助完成问题。由于学生在课前做了导学案中的自我检测部分,短文中出现的短语没有成为学生理解短文的障碍,学生在小组活动中基本能正确理解短文,但是我没有将短文中重要的知识点如seem的用法给学生提示。
2、在听录音并从听力材料中获取信息这一环节,我采用了介绍听力材料是Lisa’s vacation ,引出听力练习1c、1d,教给学生在听前浏览问题,听的过程中抓关键词,记关键词,上课过程中可以看出学生基本都能听懂原文,并能正确回答问题,按要求写出形容词,因此,在1e的处理上,仅仅再要求学生根据录音Ask and answer questions about Lisa’s vacation就显得简单了,如果安排学生根据录音做汇报,介绍Lisa’s vacation,可能效果会更好。
