教学设计
Preparation before class:
Teacher: Prepare two slogans of World Earth Day. Collect some pictures and videos in this class and make the courseware of this class.
Students: Knowledge Preparation (Master the language drills in Section A 1a—2d, especially the sentences about invitation, refusing and accepting. Learn the new words invite, accept, refuse alone.)
Material Preparation (Prepare some vocabulary cards, crayons and so on.)
Teaching process:
Step1: Leading-in:
Show a picture of “Running man”. Talk about the popular program, the pop stars, and ask them “If you don’t want to be out in the game, what should you do?” The teacher leads the students to realize the importance of teamwork.
设计意图:本环节通过出示Running man图片,谈论学生喜闻乐见的节目和明星,首先感知英语的生活化,同时让学生意识到团队合作的重要性,此外为第三环的词汇教学,句型引导奠定基础。
Step2: Show the learning aims:
Knowledge Aims:
1. Can master and use the new words: invite, accept, refuse;
2. Learn and use the sentences about making invitation, accepting invitation and refusing invitation.
Ability Aims:
Can make, accept and refuse invitation freely.
Moral Aims:
Reply to others’ invitation politely in our life.
Step3: New words teaching:
1) Learning:
Teacher: The movie “Running man” is going to be on in Feicheng cinema, would you like to go to the movies with me? If you want to go, you can answer “Yes, I’d love to.” If you don’t want to go, you can answer “ Sorry, I have to do…”. Lead the students to under stand the three new words “:invite, accept, refuse”, and complete each sentence below each new words.

We must learn to ______ our failure, but we can’t lose confidence.

2) Training:
After learning the new words, try to practice using them. Finish the following passage:

设计意图:本环节在邀请学生看电影“Running man”的情境下,通过回顾上节课所学的邀请,接受、拒绝的句型学习本节课的新词“invite,accept, refuse”,并在每个单词后进行词汇运用练习,最后通过一篇选词填空的形式让学生综合运用本节课的重点词汇。本篇短文是教师精心设计,与本节课教学话题密不可分的,进一步对下面的教学奠定基础。
Step4: Drills practice:
1) Show five pictures and let them work in pairs.

2) Listening practice and learn more about “invitation”
Watch three videos about “invitation”, and answer questions about them one by one:
Would Amy like to come to the dinner this Saturday?
Can Susan watch a movie with Mark tonight? Why/ Why not?
Can the boy have dinner with her at 6:00? Why?
设计意图:本环节通过五组图片和三个视频材料从听说两方面入手以两两对话和听后回答问题的形式,综合运用发出邀请,接受邀请和拒绝邀请的句式,此环节是上一节课的拓展与延伸。因此在听力材料设计上教师拓展了本单元以外经常用到的发出邀请的句式,如“Would you like to …?”,丰富学生对邀请话题运用的语言素材。
Step5: Conclusion:
Work in groups and discuss “How to invite, accept, refuse”. Let them write down the answers on paper card and put them up on the blackboard.
设计意图:本环节通过小组讨论,笔头总结的形式完成,让学生对本节课话题的主要举行进行沉淀反思,最后教师点拨,凝练升华。进一步突出教学重点与难点。此外在本环节中,教师重视笔头展示,以张贴卡片的形式提高学生的学习兴趣。

设计意图:本环节是话题运用的练习之一,以课本3b为载体,让学生以简单的用所给词造句的形式从口头上对任务型语言进行运用。
Step7:
1. Relaxing time:
First do as the teacher does. Then do the action along with the video.
After that, the teacher says; We have many ways to relax ourselves. We can listen to the music, hang out with friends. Going to a concert is also a good way to relax. Now let’s invite our fiends to a concert.
2. Groupwork: Enjoy the concert.

设计意图:本环节通过跟着音乐放松环节,既可以调动学生学习的积极性,同时也对对话的小组操练奠定了情景基础。学生通过六人一组对任务型语言进行综合运用,达到能力提升的目的。
Step8: volunteer wanted
Teacher: Doing something good is a good way to relax ourselves.
We can join the volunteer group.
Show the slogan of World Earth Day. Then the teacher invite the students to join the volunteer group by showing the invitation card.
Find two team leaders according to the students’ answer. Give them different tasks and invite more students to join them according to the following two invitation cards.

After the invitation, the two team leaders report the result and give their plan. For example, Ten students will join us to be the volunteer. 设计意图:本环节是课堂的最高潮部分,也是检测语言学习效果的一个手段。通过4月22日即将到来的世界地球日,教师设计志愿者征聘的语境,并通过两个邀请函,发出邀请,由学生担任两个志愿者队伍的队长分别对全班同学发出邀请。鼓励大家在海报上大胆写出自己保护地球的主意,这一步拓展了学生的语言量。同时对他们也是一个很好的思想教育。学生在语言运用的过程中真正体会了“邀请”这一话题在日常生活中的运用。
Step9:Summary
Share the collection in this class. And encourage the students to write down their questions on the Question Card.
设计意图:本节课所学内容较简单,因此在进行总结回顾时,教师大胆放手学生,让他们自己去总结回顾,从知识收获到能力提高,最后到问题发现。并鼓励学生养成通过问题卡反馈和积累问题的习惯。
Step10: Homework:
Invite your friends to join an activity and write a report.
设计意图:语言运用与笔头练习相结合,通过课后作业进一步巩固本节课所学知识。
评测练习
测评练习设计:
本节课是一节对话课,因此在设计测评练习时我通过小组活动以口头和笔头相结合的形式完成。具体操作如下:
“volunteer wanted”
Teacher: Doing something good is a good way to relax ourselves.
We can join the volunteer group.

教学反思
——科学设计情景,让英语课堂“活”起来
新课标强调“教师要让学生学会用英语解决问题”。作为一名英语教师科学设计教学活动,让学生在较为真实的语境中学会语言运用和交流,也就学会了用英语解决问题。在这里我想说的“活”有两层意思,一是让英语生活化,二是让英语活起来,让学生喜欢学英语。要达到这一目标,离开情景教学是很难完成的。在一节英语课上我们不仅要激发学生学习英语的兴趣,调动其学习积极性,而且还要使学生在轻松、兴奋、欢快的气氛中学习、理解知识,正确牢固地掌握知识并形成语言技能,从而体验成功的快乐。
本节课我在设计情景教学时比较成功地设计了三个情景:
借用了学生非常喜欢看的电视节目“Running Man”,导入中渗透思想教育,让学生知道teamwork的重要性,而且在下面的词汇教学时我也很好的借助这一节目向学生发出邀请,进行词汇“invite, accept, refuse”的教学,学生兴趣高昂,参与面广。兴趣是最好的老师,教师要走入学生,了解学生的喜好,才能把他们的喜好更好的放到自己的教学中,提高教学的有效性。
在课堂上到一半的时候我通过“We’ll rock you”一首节奏感比较强的视频让学生进行肢体操,并为下面的小组活动做好了铺垫,我能感觉到学生在参与时真是乐在其中。音乐可以让人愉悦,让大脑活跃,在紧张的学习空隙不放播放一首让我们情不自禁融入其中的音乐也会让我们的教学更加放松,让学生的学习效果更好。
很好的借用即将到来的“World Earth Day”组织小组采访活动,并进行教材拓展与情感升华,教师通过图片,海报制作等细节增添活动的真实性。作为一位智慧型的教师,我们应该及时发现社会热点,并教育引导学生关注社会,这才是最好的生命教育。
教师整节课用流畅的英语组织课堂,善于与学生进行口头交流,增加情感互动,让学生体验“生活处处有英语”的乐趣。英语教师本身就是学生最好的学习教材,因此我们要不断充电,严格要求自己,提高专业素养,成为学生学习的引导者。
总之本节课以学社的认知规律规律为基础,重视学生的情绪情感生活,既突破了传统课堂的框框,集直观性、启发性、形象性、情感性于一体,让学生在运用中学会了学英语,学会了用英语,更学会了用英语解决问题。

本单元话题是“邀请(invitations)”, 主要话题功能项目是能发出、接受或拒绝邀请,并能使用have to, must来谈论职责和义务。主要语法项目是能正确使用can引导的句子表达邀请。本课时是本单元的第二课时,即Section A Grammar Focus—3c, 是在第一课时的基础上继续训练Can 引导的表达邀请的句子,并有礼貌地接受邀请或委婉地拒绝邀请,应该是节语法拓展活动课,即通过大量的听说练习活动让学生学会用得体的语言发出、接受或拒绝别人的邀请,并能陈述自己的理由,监控交际用语运用的得体性。通过本节课的学习还应让学生了解国外社交聚会的基本知识,以及出席此类聚会的基本常识,让学生了解有关聚会邀请的礼仪,并知道如何接受邀请或委婉拒绝邀请。
本课时教材中共4部分,Grammar Focus部分以表格的形式汇总了发出、接受和拒绝邀请的句型Can you come to/ go to…? Sure, I’d love to./ Sorry,…/ I’m afraid not…为学生操练这一语言功能提供了示范。此外,表格中还列举了can用于打听第三方是否参加某项活动,以及用might表示可能性的句型,如Can he/ she/ they go to…? He/She /They might…等。此环节我通过对话感知,和学生自我总结的形式进行呈现,教师点拨强化。活动3a通过问答匹配练习,进一步强化情态动词might表示推测在对话中的运用。本部分在课堂中我没有进行呈现,而是在课堂设计的任务中让学生在对话中学会运用。活动3b要求学生补全对话,在新的语境中体验目标句型的使用。此环节在课堂中语法句型总结点拨后直接让学生进行操练,强化任务型语言。活动3c借助时间表,让学生练习安排活动并对他人发出邀请,在真实语境中熟练运用有关发出邀请、接受邀请、拒绝邀请的句型。此环节在课堂活动中我进行了删除,并拓展了其他与学生生活相关的话题项目进行操练。
本节课我围绕话题功能项目设计了一下教学活动:在情境中进行词汇教学,通过图片和视频材料进行句型操练,在语法项目点拨总结后进行小组邀请“Enjoy the concert”和“volunteer wanted”,最后进行情感升华。
