Can you play the guitar?单元整体说明
一.单元教材分析
本单元主要是学习情态动词can的肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句,肯定与否定回答,以及特殊疑问句的构成和用法;复习what弓!导的特殊疑问句。本单元主要围绕“加人俱乐部,谈论自己的能力”这一话题,设计了三个任务型活动:
任务一是:自己的才艺表演,学习情态动词can的用法;
任务二是:自己建立俱乐部,运用情态动词can谈论自己在某一方面的能力、喜好和意愿;任务三是:我能成功,主要是复习巩固谈论各自的爱好和特长的方法。
二. 单元知识系统

五.单元学情分析
本单元的主题是运用情态动词Can谈论能力,通过对目标语言的学习使学生能够表达自己在某一方面所具备的才能;通过谈论彼此的特长与爱好培养一种群体意识。在以前的学习中,学生已经学习了一些行为动作的表达法,而教学“谈论能力”只是将情态动词can用于这些表达中;情态动词can在肯定旬、否定句和疑问句中的构成,和学生已经学过的be动词的结构有相同的地方,教师在教学中要善于引导学生比较这两种结构的异同以加强记忆。
六。单元教学建议
采用Classifying,Role—playing,Comprehending in context和Skimming的学习策略,利用教学图片或制作多媒体课件来展开课堂Pairwork问答式的口语交际活动、小组活动和写作练习,谈论各自的能力。
七.本单元的教学法建议:语音教学:模仿操练;词汇教学:演示讲解、情景操练、反复使用;口语教学:互相操练、对话练习、交际活动;阅读教学:选词填空练习;听力教学:图文配对和对话选择;写作教学:填空造句、模仿写作;语法教学:总结规律、模仿操练。

采用Classifying和Role—playing的学习策略,利用教学图片、幻灯片、实物(各种乐器)或制作课件(演奏各种乐器)等来展开课堂教学、Pairwork问答式的口语交际活动或小组活动,进行“询问和谈论能力”的课堂教学和练习、

课后反思
本节课继续学习情态动词can的用法,同时复习巩固了如何表达自己意愿和喜好。我是以新课程理念为依据进行教学设计和课堂活动的。本节课的教学活动层层递进,并贴近生活,具有可实践性。作为这节课的教学反思,我想谈谈自己在教学过程中比较满意的地方,以及自己的教学不足。
一、成功之处:
1、创设情景,鼓励学生大胆地使用英语,我在课堂中设计了学生的pair work,group work以及师生互动。例如,在练习Can you play the guitar? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. Can she/ he play the guitar? Yes, she/ he can. /No, she/ he can’t.这几个句型时,我让学生先在小组内讨论,练习,四个人明确分工,有的问,有的答,他们的精彩展示反馈出他们合作的成功与喜悦。。
2、注重教学评价,对于学生的失误和错误采取宽容的态度。尊重每个学生,积极鼓励他们在学习中的尝试,保护他们的自尊心和积极性。在整个课堂中,我一直保持和蔼可亲的态度,用亲切的眼神,多用鼓励性的话语。例如在课上一位同学回答出错误问题我便及时说:“It doesn’t matter. Thank you all the same.”给学生更大的自信心,错误并不代表学生不会、瞎说,很大的原因是紧张,作为老师应该缓解学生的压力,不要使孩子们怕说英语,而是让他们感觉到用英语交流的乐趣,培养兴趣是学好英语的关键。
3、把英语教学同学生的生活实际相结合,挖掘学生的各项智能,我在本课最后一个环节中我根据学生的实际情况设计了学校音乐俱乐部和运动俱乐部招生,你想参加哪个俱乐部?让学生自主选择。学好英语不仅要体现在书面上。同生活实际结合也是很重要的。
二、不足之处:
1、最后一环节有点局限,就两个俱乐部,可以再拓展一些俱乐部,让学生有话可说。
2、学生在运用的过程中常出现I can play dance.之类的错误。我想这也许是因为一开始一直操练I can play the guitar. I can play basketball.等等句型,因此给他们造成一种can play的错觉。如果我再上这节课,我想我是否应该考虑把play the guitar, play basketball 之类的句型放在稍后一点呈现,以此避免学生产生类似的错觉,从而达到更满意的教学效果。
3、课堂节奏掌握不好,在前面练习单词词组时,应该加快教学与操练的速度,这样后面的pair work和group work 展示的学生会多一些,练习的更充分。
总而言之,通过对本节课的教学反思,我从中领悟到了一种思想,一种理念,那就是优化课堂教学,提高课堂效果。在一节英语课中,怎样让学生跟上老师的节奏,提高学生的学习能力,怎样让不同的学生能有不同的所得,都是值得我去细细思量的

有意识地在教学初期开展有关星期、日期和天气的问答,可分散教学难点,为以后的教学打下伏笔。条件好的班级,可让学生做Duty report。
如果学生不会答,改用一般疑问句来提问。但要注意两个句子要交替使用。在复习中有意识地插入新词来提问,如果学生不懂,借助手势、图片、简笔画等来帮助学生理解。
呈现学校的音乐兴趣小组的照片来帮助学生理解。选用有演奏吉他和其他乐器的照片,留待下面的教学使用。
用照片或图片来帮助学生,并把小组名称列在黑板上。
在提问时要注意一般疑问句Do you want to join…?和特殊疑问句What club do you want to join?的适当比例,因为在workbook中出现较多的一般疑问句形式。而且在让学生进行操练时鼓励学生自由转换一般疑问句和特殊疑问句。
如果有需要,教师可播放磁带两遍。如有必要,也可以让同桌讨论答案。
调查前发给学生表格,教师先做一个sample,然后让学生做。在学生调查过程中仔细聆听,随时给予帮助。时间控制在三分钟之内。调查好后,选取几组做报告。e.g.:Li Lei wants to join the English club.Lin Tao wants to join the music club.
可唱一首简短的歌曲来帮助呈现can,使用presentation中出现过的音乐兴趣小组的照片,指着其中会弹吉他的学生,说,Look,he can play the guitar.But I can’t.在说的同时,配上点头和摇头的动作来帮助呈现。
操练时让学生配上动作以加深理解。能力好的学生要求在回答时用上括号中的句子。此操练由教师根据实际情况掌握时间长短。
给学生一分钟的时间来完成此项任务,如有需要,可先在小组内讨论答案。
如果有需要,教师可播放磁带两遍。如有必要,也可以让学生四人一小组讨论答案。
在播放磁带前,先让学生熟悉对话内容及方框内的动词。
在要求学生跟读的同时,让学生用箭头在书上标明语调,提醒学生注意语音、语调。
1c和2c的内容重叠,在教学时合并为一个步骤。时间控制在五分钟内。然后让一些组上台表演。
反思:本单元的内容很贴近学生的生活,特别是本课时内容丰富有趣,学生的兴致很高,课堂气氛很好。但对“Can you”和“Do you”这俩个句型的回答还混淆不请,需要在下节课中加强巩固。
