1.Warm-up and revision Play the video and sing the song together. Song: Children from China are Chinese T: What do you do every day Ss: Ask and do the actions.(I play basketball…etc.) T: Write the phrases on the blackboard. T: (write the word: yesterday) and let Ss understand its meaning. Today we'll learn a new text. Daming is in the story. T: Now you look at the pictures of the text and find out what he did yesterday. Ss: Look at their book with the question. Then let one say the things out in English or Chinese. Play the tape and let them listen carefully with the question. What did Daming say in the text Ss: Answer the questions and the teacher changes the phrases written on the blackboard.T: (Choose a phrase from the phrases on the board ) Do actions and say the sentence slowly like this: e.g. I washed my trousers yesterday. The teacher can say one more sentences with the regular verb past form _ed exaggeratedly. Let students learn to say the sentences using the phrases to talk about what they did yesterday. Pay more attention to the _ed form. 3.PracticeT: Now open your books and listen to the tape first and then point and find out words ending in “_ed”. Discuss the question:What happened on the verb words Ss: group work to find out the rules for the regular verb words past form and let them read out the past verb together loudly.
