2. 设计思想
Reading and vocabulary(阅读课) 的目的是训练学生的阅读理解能力,本节课的设计遵循“以人为本”的教育理念和以学生为主体的原则,充分考虑高中阶段学生学习语言和人格塑造的发展性要求,全面培养学生的综合语言运用能力,特别是读和写的能力,同时帮助他们开拓思维和想象。这节课以the future city” 为话题,向学生介绍了未来城市生活的几个方面,引道学生了解世界发展的趋势,了解可持续发展的必要性。旨在通过对本节课的学习,使学生学会一些重点单词,短语及句型结构,并能通过学习,培养乐观的生活态度。因学生的阅读能力还有待于提高,通过泛读,精读及讨论环节的设置,提高他们的阅读理解能力和口头及书面表达能力。
3. 教学目标
1. 知识目标

七教学过程:
Step1. Leading-in
Show them pictures and ask Ss some questions:
1. What do you know about the future life
2. What do you think the future city will be like Show your pictures.
T: Encourage Ss to say something about the future city according to the materials given.
Step2. Extensive reading
Get the Ss to read the text fast and tick the topics

Step3. Listen and check your pronunciations and intonations
Underline the new words:

5. Not all predictions come true.并不是所有的预言都能成为现实。
not 与all, every, both连用时,表示部分否定,而非全部否定。
e. g. Not all students are good in English. 并不是所有的学生英语都好。
Not all the people present at the meeting supported his plan.
(=All the people present at the meeting didn’t support his plan. )
并不是所有出席会议的人都支持他的计划。
注意:无论not位于句首还是句中,都表示部分否定。
表示全部否定,需用none, neither。
e. g. None of them liked the movie.他们都不喜欢这部电影。

八.教学反思
1.古人有言“授之以鱼,不如授之以渔”在高中英语学习中,阅读是输入语言信息的重要途径之一,也是高考考察的重点能力之一,同时,扩大词汇量是学习的主要目标之一。但是词汇量的扩大是不能仅仅依赖于教师的教和讲的。因此,学生的“自主阅读及在阅读中自然习得词汇知识”在英语学习中不失为提高阅读和扩大词汇的一个好方法。
这是一节阅读课,通过我设计的泛读,精读两个环节,泛读部分让学生快速阅读,概括中心,有助于训练学生整体把握大意:而精读部分进一步细读课文,了解细节,这是提高他们的阅读理解能力的重要一步。词义搭配的题目设计,为学生猜测词义起到了引导作用
2.通过“讨论”这一问题的设置,同学们加深了对课文的理解,并能把所学到的知识与现实生活相联系,与自己的学习相联系,学以致用是最好的学习动力。同学们实践了小组合作性学习,进一步培养了他们团结协作的精神,起到了教育作用。并使这一节课达到了高潮,充分调动了学生的积极性及主动性。
3.整堂课的时间安排也相对合理,圆满的完成了教学任务。
4.学生的朗读和口头表达能力还有待于进一步提高。
