一．教学内容
本单元主题是shape，培养学生用英语表达和描述形状，前面几个lessons学过circle、square、triangle、和oval, 本节课学习的形状是rectangle以及学习描述长方形的物体。本版本教材中，在本课之前学生已经学习过部分描写颜色的词汇，如：pink、green、red、yellow和blue，在本课中可以引导学生灵活结合关于描述颜色和描述形状的英语词汇，对某件物体的外形进行描述。21cnjy.com
二．教学目标
1.认知目标 (knowledge aims）：
1）能够听懂，并运用单词rectangle、house和window.
2）学习句型 How many windows do you see in the house? / I see two windows in the house.／ What shapes are the windows? / The windows are in the shape of a rectangle.21·cn·jy·com
3）能够熟练使用句型“How many….? / I see… / What shape(s） are(is） the …? / … are(is） in the shape of a … ” 对长方形的形状以及是长方形的物体进行准确描述，并能准确用英文表达出数量的多少。www.21-cn-jy.com
2.能力目标 (Ability aims）:
1）学会有关长方形的单词和句子，并且能在现实生活中对长方形以及是长方形的物体进行自主描述。
2）学会并理解在英语中运用“sth. be in the shape of …(形状）”，来描述某件物体是什么样的形状。2-1-c-n-j-y
3）结合之前学过的描述颜色的词汇，对某件物体的外形进行描述。
3.情感目标 (Emotion aims）:

2）能够准确区分不同形状的区别。
3）能够准确说出某件物体的数量。
三．教学重点
1. 学习单词： rectangle、house和window.

四．教学难点
1.描述长方形形状的词汇，rectangle的发音和拼写；以及生活中和长方形相关的物体的词汇，house和window的发音和拼写。
2.在句中运用词组“sth. be in the shape of …(形状）”，描述某件物体是什么形状，注意语言顺序与中文区别。21·世纪*教育网
3.在现实生活中运用本课学习的句型，以及运用“rectangle”描述物体。
4.注意 “How many…?” 和 “How much…?”
在英语中描述“数量多少” 的区别：“How many…?” 用来描述可数名词数量的多少；
“How much…?” 用来描述不可数名词数量的多少。
5.学会运用英语描述物体数量的多少。
五．教学用具准备
1. 教师准备本课课时相关课件、教学录音磁带，录音机
2. 教师准备有关形状的圆形、正方形、三角形、椭圆形和长方形，以及有关颜色的粉色、绿色、红色、黄色、蓝色的教学小卡片。
六．教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up
1）师生问好Greetings!
Teacher: Hello! Everyone!
Students: Hello!

2）Sing a song

Step 2: Introduction and free talk

2、学习新词汇“rectangle”、“house”和“window”
3、Ask about shapes and color. 询问学生周围物体的形状和颜色，引导学生认识“rectangle”这个词汇。21教育网

和学生一起重复练习rectangle的发音，老师可以加以辅助动作和图形卡片，帮助并且加深学生理解。
1、Play a game: Who is the fastest one?
教师给学生分组，一共分成四组。
教师给学生展示不同的形状和颜色卡片，最快抢答正确，并且能说出和该颜色或者形状相关的一件物体的学生可以获得一分的奖励www-2-1-cnjy-com
展示所有学习卡片之后，得分最高的小组胜利。

教师给学生列出两个问题，引导学生带着问题阅读课文对话内容，再回答问题
Question 1: How many windows in the house?
Question 2: What shapes are the windows?

请学生回答阅读课文前提出的两个问题
Answer 1：There are two windows in the house.
Answer 2：The windows are in the shape of a rectangle.
将学生分成两组，练习课本p10 work in pairs
Read the text again 教师朗读课文，学生跟读
