Lesson 2
Teaching objectives:
1.Can say each part of your own body in English.
2. Listen to the chant and chant it correct.

Radio a doll picture
Teaching steps:
Step One Review
1. Listen and number:
Ears mouth eyes arms
( ) ( ) ( ) ( )
Hands legs nose feet
( ) ( ) ( ) ( )
2. One student say the commands and the other follows the commands.
Step Two Presentation
1. Bring a doll to class.
T: This is the body. (Point to the doll’s body.) Repeat: body. < Ss: body.>
Continue with arms head mouth and legs.
If time permits, say the words and have Ss point to the parts on their own bodies.
T: Let’s listen to the tape point to the pictures.
Play the tape and have Ss point to the pictures.
T: Let’s listen again and repeat.
Play the tape again, pausing after each sentence and let Ss repeat.
Act in pairs.
2. Point to the pictures on the page.
T: Look at Ms Black. What’s she touching < Ss: Her ears.>
T: Touch your ears. < Ss touch their own ears. >
Repeat the lyrics to the Ss and have them repeat.
T: Now open the book. Let’s learn the chant.
Play the tape and do the actions. Have Ss copy your actions.
T: Now let’s chant.
Play again and have Ss chanted along.
Step Three Practice
Write the vocabulary words on paper strips.
Give the cards to eight Ss one card per student.
Pass out the eight picture cards to eight other students.
When the teacher say “ear” and the students with the “ear” picture card and the Ss with the “ear” word to hold them up and repeat after you.
Repeat with other cards.
Step Four Consolidate
Ask some students to teacher’s desk and point. Say each part of your body. Use this is…. / these are …..
Step five Homework
Read and recite the conversation, vocabulary and target.
Fish the sentences:
1. I can touch my _____. (耳朵)
2. Close your ______. ( 眼睛 )
3. This is ____ _____. ( 我的脸 )
4. These are _____ ______. ( 我的腿 )
5. ____ ____ my arms. ( 这是 )
Blackboard writing:

These are his arms.
