(1)掌握并能运用句型 “He was in... ”、 “They were in...”

3学情分析
对于三年级的学生来说,本节课是第二次接触一般过去时,可以说还是比较陌生。在对was和 were的使用上还存在一些问题,比较容易出错。因此本节课在复习阶段占用大量的时间对一般过去时进行大量的复习,为后面的教学工作打下良好的基础。

A. New words:
1) “holiday”:
The teacher shows the picture of Yunnan. Let the students guess where it is.
T: Do you know where it is? (Students guess.) Ok, I’ll tell you. It’s Yunnan. In the holidays, I was in Yunnan.(Teach the word “holiday”) Read and repeat.
2) “fun”:
The teacher shows some other her own photos to the students.
T: Was I happy? … ….
T: Yes, I was very happy. Because Yunnan is fun, The trip was fun.
(Teach the word “fun”)Read and repeat, then try to make up sentences with the word.
T: What is fun?
S: The monkey is fun.( pig, pear, man)
T: Yes, they are very fun. Look, their actions are very fun. Can you do some fun actions?
3) “yesterday”:
T: Do you know where Sam and Sam’s family were in the holidays? Maybe you don’t know. But I know. Because Sam wrote a letter to me to talk about his holidays. And yesterday I received the letter. (Show the letter and review the word “yesterday”)
4) “dear”:
The teacher shows them the letter. And explain that when you write a letter you should use the title “Dear”…
Then give them a Chant to help them remember the word:

活动3【练习】
1) Memory game.
Show a photo to the students. Give the students 10 seconds to remember everything in the photo. Then, all the things disappear. Guide the students to answer the question with “xx was on the playground” and “xx and xx were on the playground”.
2) Matching game
Show them the pictures. Let them find out “Where were they?”
3) DIY Photo Album
Stick their photos on a piece of colour
paper. And write something about the photo like this “I was 7 years old. I was in Shanghai.” Then let a group introduce their Photo Album.
