Teaching Procedures
Step 1: Greeting.
Greet the students in English.
Step2:Teaching new words and phrase with slide show.
Do you know how to describe your appearance or other people’s outward appearance Can you speak in English So today we learn a new unit _ Unit 7: What does he look like First we learn new words and phrase. Please read after me. I read once, you read twice. Teach them these English words looking at their meaning and pictures twice.
Step 3: Students practice.
First let students read together. Then read the new words by boys and girls. Team 1. Team 2… and so on. Give them a result and encourage them.
Step 4: Presentation
First I go out. Then come into the classroom in a mask. Hi. Good afternoon /morning everyone. I’m Mary. I am thin /… I have short hair /…
Step 5: Pairwork.
Let students practice the conversation below show it on the slide show: “ What do you look like ” I’m tall /… I have long hair /… Let students introduce themselves outward appearances. After practicing the dialogue. Ask some students to act out the conversation. Then give them a result and encourage them.
Step 6: Play a game — Who am I
The teacher say:” I’m heavy. I have small eyes. Can you guess who I am ” Show the dialogue on the slide show Encourage the first student. Give the toy to him as a gift.
Step 7: Presentation
First ask two students to the look board. The teacher say:” She is tall woman /… She has straight hair /... He is heavy /…. He has curly hair. Then ask another one. “What does he look like ”
Step 8: Pair work.
Let student practice the dialogue about other people’s out ward appearance:” What does he / she /your friend look like He / She is medium height. He / She has curly hair /….” Ask some students to act out this dialogue.
Step 9: Play a game: Help me find my friend.
He is tall. He has very short hair. He wears a white shirt. Who’s that
Step 10: Do exercise

Step 11 : listening text.
Play the tape twice, (1b, Page 41). Then let students fill in the blank.
Step 12: Homework.
① Desscribe lily’s new friend.
Teaching notes:
Today we learned some words, and we learned how to use the language of talking about other’s image.“What does he look like”. In this class. Student can describe somebody’s image well in English.
