Objectives
*understand the actions of different animals
*enjoy imitating and doing different actions
*enjoy the song and try to sing the song
Language focus:
Vocabulary:’
Swing, sun, walk, jump, fish, bird, swim, fly
Sentence patterns: I’m a … I can…
Procedures
Activity 1: Who am I
Play the game who am I Again and add: I’m a monkey, I can swing; I’m a rabbit. I can run; I’m an elephant. I can walk; I’m a bird. I can fly; I’m a fish. I can swim.
Ask different pupils to do actions and the teacher guesses which animal they are imitating
Activity 2: Quick response
The teacher takes out the toy monkey and say: Andy is a monkey. Then the pupils have to respond: Andy can swing
Do the same activity with the toy rabbit, elephant and kangaroo
Activity 3: Let’s sing
Play the tape and ask the pupils to listen carefully, and find out how many friends in the song.
Listen again, and then sing in a low voice.
