UNIT 3 WHAT DO YOU SEE
Lesson 4
This lesson will cover “Let’s Make” section and “Enjoy your English ” in the AB.
Objectives:
At the end of this lesson, hopefully children will be able to:
Follow the teacher’s instructions in making things and pick up some of the expressions.
Get the gist of the story from the pictures.
Retell the story by saying the key words or sentences.
Language focuses:
Vocabulary: room, window, door, wall, bed, desk.
Materials needed:
The tape, pictures of “Enjoy your English”, shoe box, crayons, glue tape, paper.
Procedures:
Activity 1: Sing the song on page 18
Divide the children into “living-room, bedroom and washroom”, groups respectively and deliver the relevant flash words to the correspondent groups.
Get the children to stop between each tow verses to let them clap the rhythm.
Activity 2: Let’s make a room.
Show the model product of “Let’s make” to the children and ask them “Do you like this room Is it beautiful ”
Ask the children to show you the paper bed and desk, which they have made as their homework and talk about their products “I have a desk…”
Introduce the task by saying: Let’s make our own rooms.

Model how to make the room step by step with instructions.
Walk around, observe and talk with the children about their products.
Activity 3: Look at my room.
Provide a few minutes for the children to show their products to the whole class, encouraging them to talk about their products.
Give positive comments on the children’s products.
Activity 4: Enjoy your English.
Play the tape and ask the children listen to it.
Listen again and ask some children to mime the behavior.
Tell the story again and pause constantly to invite the children to join in with some words or phrases.
Dramatize the story with the children.
Activity 5: End the class.
Talk with the children again about the items in the room on order to recycle the key words.
