Module 4 Unit 10 Waiting for another Hare
一、教学内容分析
本课是MODULE 4 的第一课时，主要是学习在图书馆如何用英语借书和理解成语故事。知识点集中在借书的手续和正确理解寓言故事的寓意。
二、学生情况分析
孩子们都喜欢听故事，而且六年级的同学积累的故事材料已不少，所以，他们对故事的中文能很快理解，但英文的表达还是一个重、难点。前面的有关借书的对话英语要求学生较好地掌握，对学生的日常用语有很大的帮助，可以结合实际的情景教学。
三、教学目标：
（一）知识目标
1.掌握课文四会生词 keep , field, sadly , hare , ground , pick up
certainly, himself, from then on, any more, all day long, wait for;
三会词汇 ：ancient , fable, renew
2.学会图书馆借书的日常用语
How long may I keep it
You mustn’t lend it to others.
You must come and renew it.

1.理解寓言故事的内容
2.能简单的复述故事
3.能运用借书日常用语
（三）情感目标：
1.学会自食其力
2.提高英语学习兴趣

四、教学重、难点
1.学会以下借书的日常用语

You mustn’t lend it to others.
You must come and renew it.
2. 理解寓言故事和它的寓意。
五、教学过程：
1. Leading-in:
1) Sing a song: Two Little Black Birds
2) Learn a new Rhyme
2. Review : 复习以前学过的情态动词及它们的正确用法：can, must , may
3. 情景导入：设置图书馆借书的情景，出示借书证，学习library card, 教师向班级图书管理员借书，学习句子：How long may I keep it Can I keep the book a little longer 转换角色，由老师扮演图书管理员，由学生向老师借书，学习：You mustn’t lend it to others. You must come and renew it.
4.操练句型：
让学生二人小组操练句型，练习借书用语。
学生可以图书管理员的角色和借书者的角色进行对话。
5.听故事：
听课文寓言故事三次，回答下列问题（培养学生的听力水平）：
A .How did the hare die
B. Did the farmer eat the hare
C. Did the farmer work any more after he picked up the hare
D. Do you think he could pick up another hare Why (原因可以用中文回答，此处进行情感教育)
6.学生读故事，提出问题，学生和老师共同解答。(预设难点如下)
a. crash into 的复习
b.pick up 的理解
c “To pick up a hare is certainly easier than to work in the fields.”的翻译
d.said to himself（himself的学习）
e. From then on的理解
f. any more的理解

7.学生读故事，老师板书重点句型，学生尝试复述故事。
学生根据老师的提示，尝试复述课文，练习口语表达。
