Unit 4 Janet Feels Ill (Dialogue)
一、教学特色
1.充分利用多媒体软件，让学生在形象、生动的情境中感知、习得、运用语言。
2.在教学过程中，体现以学生为本，给学生发言、质疑、表演、创新的机会
二、教学内容分析
本节课是Unit 4的第一课时，是新授课。要求学生能很好地理解课文并能运用课文中的句型。语言点主要是关于询问对方感受的句子what’s the matter 并会用I feel回答以及学习表示感受的几个单词和两个生活用语： 1) It’s time to get up.2） I don’t want to be late for school.本课内容学生比较容易理解，所以我们进行了同一主题的拓展。本节课采取先解决教学难点，再进入整体感知，试图降低课文学习的坡度，使学生一进入课文就可以较快地理解、上口。最后能在创设的模拟情景中，运用所学的语言知识。
三、教学对象分析
五年级学生属于高段，学习的侧重点应该从对单词，句型的学习理解转到对课文的整体把握，对语言的实际运用以及提高阅读和写作能力。所以在教学中创设各种开口说，动脑筋的活动，给学生们自由发挥的空间，并通过各种不同的激励办法，使孩子们更加牢固地掌握所学知识。
四、教学策略
本课内容比较抽象，难以用实物呈现，因此在本课教学中，我们充分利用多媒体课件，创设语言情景，提供给学生形象生动感知材料。同时根据学生年龄特点，认知规律及兴趣爱好，教学中，充分利用插图、歌曲、游戏等资源，寓教于乐，通过大量的句子输入，产生信息差，创设语言情景，会话主题，让学生大量地输出，从而增强学生的口头表达能力。
五、教学目标
1.语言知识
1）单词：wake, feel, ill, matter, quickly,
2）短语：wake up, get dressed
3）句型：What’s the matter
It’s time to get up. / It’s time for school.
I don’t want to be late for school.
2. 语言技能
1)能就“看病”的话题进行交谈。
2) 能听说并认读本课的单词，短语和句型。
3) 能理解对话，并流利朗读，语言语调和和停顿正确，基础好的学生就复述，表演对话。
3.情感态度
通过本节课的学习，提高学生的学习兴趣和参与课堂活动的积极性，养成良好的学习习惯。
4.学习策略
1）通过听说读的操练，使学生对课文内容熟悉，并扎实地掌握
2）通过游戏、竞赛、等活动激发学生的兴趣，提高学习英语的积极性。
六、教学重、难点
1. It’s time to…与 It’s time for…的区别。
2对本课课文的整体理解和运用。

（一）Warming up and leading in
1. Sing a song “An Apple a Day”

(二) Presentation
1. Show some pictures. Let the pupils look at the pictures and talk about how those people feel and guess what problem they have ( in English or in Chinese). （3‘）
2.Tell the pupils that if they feel ill, they need to see a doctor, and subsequently introduce the topic of this module and Unit 4. （1‘）
3. Show some pictures and ask the pupils to ask some questions about these pictures.（1‘）
4. Listen to the tape and answer the questions. (2’)
5.学生看课文的电脑碟，整体呈现课文。(2’)
6.逐字逐句听读完一遍课文后，要求学生找出自己不懂的单词或者句型。可以让学生自己解决，解决不了的老师再帮忙。比如：It’s time to…与 It’s time for…的区别： It’s time for bed /class/school/breakfast/lunch/dinner.（time后加名词） It’s time to go to bed/school/have breakfast/have lunch/have dinner. （time后加动词） 联系动词fell / look / get/ become等后可以加形容词，例如： I feel tired / hot / cold / hungry. He looks tired / hungry / pale. (5’)
7.板书新单词，带读新单词。(2’)
8.板书重点句型，并带读。(2’)
(三)Practice
(1)Read after the tape. (2’)
(2)Group the pupils and ask them to read the dialogue in roles, and help them imagine the feeling and intonation of a patient. (4’)
(3) Read the dialogue together. (2’)
（四）Development
Get the pupils to discuss in groups about what Janet should do，why isn’t Janet at school today Do you think she is ill today and share with the whole class. Let them comparing their answers with the others’ helps to learn more. (3’)
Group works. Look at the computer and make a dialogue. (4’)
