教学步骤
1. Greeting and warming-up.
(1)(Have a free talk with the pupils.)
T: How are you today P: I am fine. And you ……
T: What day is today P: It’s ……
T: What’s the date today P: It’s ……
(2)(Say a rhyme to warm up)
T: Now boys and girls, let’s say the rhyme together. Please stand up and clap your hands.
2. Point out the aims of this lesson
T: We’ve already learned the comparative degree and today we are going to learn something about the superlative degree. (中文解释:之前我们学习了比较级,今天我们将要学习最高级)

3. Revison of the comparative degree
T: First let’s review the comparative degree by answering my questions.
Are you ready Let’s go.
(1) Which is bigger, the cat or the mouse
(2) Which is heavier, the pig or the monkey
(3) Which is faster, the horse or the turtle
(4) Which is larger, Japan or China
(5) Who is taller, Yaoming or Pan Changjiang
(6) Whose hair is shorter, Miss Shen’s or Wang Yuegang’s
(7) Which is bigger, A or B (画两个大小不一的圆圈在黑板上)
4. Presentation of the superlative degree.
T: (再画一个更大的圆圈) Now which is the biggest, A, B or C
P: C is the biggest.
T: OK, C is bigger than A and B, so C is the biggest of the three(板书). Clear
T: (简笔画画三个人在黑板上)Who is the tallest, A, B or C
P: A is the tallest.
T: OK, A is taller than B and C, so A is the tallest of the three. (板书)
Now listen carefully and then answer my questions again.
(1) Which is the biggest, the cat, the mouse or the tiger
(2) Which is the heaviest, the pig, the monkey or the duck
(3) Which is the fastest, the horse, the turtle or the cow
(4) Which is the largest, Japan, China or Russia
(5) Who is the tallest, Yaoming, Liu Xiang or Panchangjiang
(6) Whose hair is the shortest, Miss Shen’s, Wang Yuegang’s or Lin Ye’s
5. Summary
T: Well done, boys and girls. Since you can answer my questions so well, now I want you to discuss in groups and then summar out the differences between the comparative degree and the superlative degree (中文解释:找出比较级和最高级之间的不同之处)
(1)比较级是两者之间进行比较,最高级是三者或三者以上进行比较。
(2)比较级形式是在形容词后加er,最高级是在形容词后加est,变化形式与比较级相同。
(3)最高级要在形容词前加the。

Finish the exercises on P47.
7. Practice.
Practise saying the superlative degree sentences by talking about theirs own things.
T: 请用最高级的句子谈论你们的“小组之最”。 For example, my hair is the longest in our group. My bag is the biggest in our group.
(如果学生使用了beautiful 的最高级,则可以初步介绍一下)
8. Task A: 找出班级之最。
(1) Who is the oldest/youngest in our class
(2) Who is the tallest/shortest in our class
(3) Who is the quickest in our class
(4) Who is the strongest in our class
(5) Whose hair is the longest in our class
(6) Whose home is the nearest to our school
(7) Whose bag is the biggest in our class
(让学生自己说出其它的班级之最)
Task B: 找出中国或世界之最
Who is the fastest man in China
Who is the tallest athlete in China
Is “Huang He” the longest river in China
Is “Zhong Xin” the tallest building in China
Is China the biggest country in the world
Are elephants the biggest animals in the world
有些学生知道blue whales 才是世界上最大的动物,这时可以把这个新词先学了,为下节课做准备。
9. 通过task B的最后一个问题,引出今晚的作业
Homework: 1. 上网查找关于“blue whale”和“elephant”的资料。
2. 用英语写一些中国和世界之最,有些词可以用拼音代替。
3.预习听读Unit 10 Dialogue
