Unit 14 Which food do you prefer (Period2)
教学内容及分析:Unit 14 Work with Language 本课时是对食物单词进行巩固和拓展学习以及重点学习运用“more”和 “most”。
二、教学对象分析:五年级学生经过三年的英语学习,积累了一定的基础,他们精力旺盛,自信心强,对贴近生活的学习内容有强烈的学习兴趣。本课时学生将会了解中西方食物的异同以及巩固使用“more”和 “most”,是学生自己进行观察、对比和总结的契机。
三、教学目标
1.语言知识目标:
单词:queen,Snow white, western.
句型:sentences using “more” and “most”.
2.语言技能目标:
A. 能用所学语言谈论食物。
B. 能用 “more” 和“most”谈论事物。
3.情感态度目标:
了解和合理安排日常饮食搭配。
4.学习策略目标:
培养学生的观察力和总结的学习态度。
四、教学重、难点:
1.较多的单词量。
2.对课文中出现的最高级 most的理解。
五、教学策略:
以最喜爱的食物话题为切入点,。

七、教学过程:
1. Warm-up
Sing the song “Pizza and Chips” and chant the rhyme “What would you like”.
2. Presentation
A. Review words of food and expressions.
a. T shows pictures of foods and the pupils shout the words.
b. Free- talk
---Which food do you prefer ---I prefer …. …are more delicious than ….
---Which food do you like best ---I like … best.
---Which is your favourite food ---…Is my favourite food.
---Which is the most delicious food ---… is the most delicious food.
B. EX2-3, P66.
a. Ask about the pupils’ favourite foods and ask them to tell western food or Chinese food it is. Present the word “western”. (Draw the table on the blackboard and stick the answer for an example.)
b. The pupils have 2 minutes to finish EX2and EX3 and then T checks the answers with them.
C. EX1, P65.
a. T asks a pupil:
“---Which food do you think is delicious ” “---Pizzas.”
“---Which food do you think is more delicious ” “---Hamburgers.”
“---Which food do you think is the most delicious in the world ” “---Steak.”
b. T sums up the sequence:
“The pizza is delicious. The hamburger is more delicious. The steak is the most delicious in the world.”
The pupils read out them after T to make proficiency.
c. T shows pictures of the new queen and Snow White and asks the pupils to make sentences using “beautiful”. Read the sentences.
d. Pupils open their books and read and study the words in EX1.
e. T divides the class into 8 groups and assigns each group 1 word to make sentences and then the groups share their sentences with the whole class.
f. T awards the best.
3. Sum-up
A. Sum up what we have learnt.
B. Check each other if he/she knows how to use “more” and “most”.
4. Assignments
A. Write down the sentences with the word assigned to you (EX1, P65).
B. Home dictation: 4-skill words of Unit 14.
C. Preview Unit 15.

教学后记:本课课文长,而且情景较复杂,我主要把它分为两部分进行,第一部分作为听读材料,第二部分作为阅读材料,这样能帮助学生减轻压
