UNIT FIVE
Lesson One
Teaching content: Let's sing & colour and say
Objectives:
At the end of this lesson, hopefully the children will be able to:
1. Understand and say the nouns birthday cake balloon present
2. Enjoy colouring pictures and playing the tracing games
3. Enjoy singing the song with actions.
Language focuses:
Vocabulary: birthday cake balloon present
Structure: Happy Birthday!
Material Needed:
Tape, the puppet Amy, a birthday card, the real, crayons
Procedure: 21世纪教育网 21世纪教育网
Activity 1: Listen to the song
1. Tell the children that they will listen to a song which they usually hear.
2. Play the tape and let the children listen to the song, teacher shows the pictures at the same time.
3. Play the tape to let the children listen to the song again and get them to guess whose birthday it is.
Activity 2: Introduce Amy's birthday.
1. Show a birthday card and ask the children to guess whose birthday it is and then introduce today is Amy's birthday when the children look about the answer.
2. Praise the children who say happy birthday! To Amy and involve all the children in saying Happy birthday, Amy! Together.
3. Tell the children you have present some lovely presents for Amy and involve them in saying together, cakes, candies, balloons, and some wrapped presents.
Activity 3:
1. Encourage the children to sing the song to Amy and then play the tape of this song twice. Then encourage them to sing the song in chorus twice.
2. Let the children to perform singing the song to Amy with actions in different groupings.
Activity 4: Let's colour the presents for Amy!
1. Ask the children to colour the pictures.
2. Ask the children to report the drawings in groups.
Activity 5: Let's play a tracing game!
1. Ask the children to trace the lines and put the stickers in the corresponding rectangles, remember to explain the rules of the game first, and then let all the children start the game at the same time.
2. Award the quickest winners.
