Lesson Four
This lesson will cover LET’S MAKE and Ex. 4(TRACE AND STICK) in the activity book.
Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, hopefully the pupils will be able to:
Recognize the written forms of the words in the previous lesson. (Receptive)
Understand and use the food words orally.
Remember and use some food words in the real life.
Language Focus:
1. The written forms of the words about food learned in the previous lesson. (Receptive)
2. The instructions for making a food poster. (Receptive)
Material Needed: Stickers for Ex. 4, the children’s collections of food pictures and words, big cards, scissors, glue, markers.
Procedures:
Activity 1: Do Ex. 4(TRACE AND STICK) in the activity book.
Activity 2: Do LET’S MAKE
1. Stimulate the children’s desire to make the food poster.
2. The teacher gives instructions for making the food poster.
3. The children put the poster on the wall, then walk around and try to name all the food orally.
4. Encourage the fast learners to find the new words on the posters and learn by themselves or by asking others.
Activity 3: Create their own song.
1.学生自己创作歌曲(以小组形式)
2. The children sing their song to the whole class.
Activity 4: End the class
1. The teacher gives comments on how the children have done in this lesson
2. Encourage the children to show their parents the posters.
