美国的大部分地区属温带和亚热带气候,气温适宜、降水丰富。由于本土范围辽阔、地形多样,所以气候变化比较复杂。
1.美国西部太平洋沿岸地区大体上夏季不会太过炎热,降水量为全年最少,冬季温和,是全年降水最多的时期。具体说来,西部沿岸地区越向南降雨量越小,冬季越暖和。
2.美国西部内陆为高原地区,夏季炎热,冬季寒冷,年降水量小,冬季尤为干燥。
3.美国中北部平原地区四季分明,以大陆性气候为主,大体上夏季较为炎热,冬季寒冷,不过中北部平原各地温差较大。
4.美国南部墨西哥湾沿岸地区和东南部大西洋沿岸地区属亚热带气候,夏季较为炎热,冬季和暖,全年降水充足。
