Unit 8 What time do Yongxian’s Classes begin
教学内容
这节课学习的内容是Module2 Unit8,Work with Language1,主要是人称代词(主格与宾格)及物主代词(形容词性与名词性)在句子中的正确运用;在情景中进一步地理解和运用比较级句型。
教学对象分析
五年级学生经过四年多的英语学习,已经积累了一定的学习基础,他们初步找到适合自己的学习方式,对贴近生活的学习内容有强烈的兴趣。本节课让学生通过实际例子去理解各人称代词在句子中的使用。
教学目标
1. 语言知识:四类人称代词的使用
You grow thinner than her.
She grows taller than him.
This is my book, it’s mine.
The girl is running faster than the boy.
2. 语言技能
a. 能用重点句型参与游戏、活动。
b. 能运用所学句型进行对话、比较。
3. 情感态度
在词汇、句子学习中增强学习英语的兴趣和参与热情,逐步养成良好的学习习惯。让学生真正成为学习的主体,主动学习。
4. 学习策略
通过交际性操练,让学生更深刻体会交际运用对语言学习的重要性,并积极、主动与他人合作,运用英语于交际中。
教学策略
TBL(任务型教学):以任务为主导,以活动为载体,以学生为中心,通过完成特定的交际活动促使学生语言交际能力的发展。
创设情景,设计多样化的游戏,用游戏突破重难点,让绝大部分学生开口练习。
教学重点、难点
重点:1.四类人称代词
2.基本句型:You grow thinner than her.
3.理解名词性物主代词mine,并能在实际语境中使用
难点:1.形容词物主代词和名词性物主代词的区别
教学过程
I .Leading in
1. read the dialogue of unit 8 in roles
Ask 2-4 Ps to complete the long and difficult sentence in the dialogue.
e.g. Do some of your classmates come from the other countries
Then check which one is fast/faster, which one is good/ better
Review the verbs and adv.
(Let kids tell me the phrases, e.g. fly high, swim fast, jump far…)
Freeze game: T says the phrases, Ps do actions and repeat. Ps have to stop the actions if the teacher shouts” freeze”
II. pre-task
1.tell kids the teaching aims
T: today, we’ll learn more the comparative degree and personal pronoun
2. Game: Grow Thinner and Grow Fatter, Grow Taller and Grow Shorter-
-----You grow thinner than her. / You grow taller than him.
(Ask 2 pupils to play this game on the platform, and show the word cards :)
I you he she it we they
me you him her it us them
3. Compare the result of the game
-----Your groups has more points than ours
Show the word cards:
my your his her its our their
mine yours his hers its ours theirs
4.ask pupils to compare the results with their own words.
5. Free talk:
T: What day is it today P:It’s Monday.
What subject do you have on Monday P: We have math, ….
How many subjects do you have in the school
What are they
Which subject do you like better, Chinese or English
Can you lend me your art/maths/Chinese/… book
Present “mine”, and practice the personal pronoun in sentences.
*老师要还书给学生,故意犯糊涂,向学生提问 Is this your book Is this book yours
*当找到书的主人,让学生用英语告诉我“this is my book.”, 老师呈现 “mine”
T: we can say “this is my book, this is mine.”
*让学生拿自己一样东西向老师说句子“this is my …, this is mine.
*向学生提问is this his/ her book Is this book his/hers
*Drills: (1)教师说前半句,学生根据教师手所指的学生将句子补充完整
E.g. T: This is your/his/her pencil-case.
Ps: This pencil-case is yours/ his/hers.
(2)增加游戏的难度,教师说一个句子,要求学生不改变意思用另一个句子表达:
E.g. T: This is my book. Ps: This book is mine.
E.g. T: This pen is hers Ps: This is her pen.
*学生四人小组用现成的物体操练hand, hair, book…
Let pupils make a summary about the personal pronoun with their own words, teacher help if necessary
III .present and practice P38, 2
1. (Check the score board) T: group … is working hard, but group…is working harder. Just like the children in the picture.让学生看图,老师提问:
T: what can you see in the picture
Ps: A boy and a girl.
T: What are they doing
Ps: they are running.
T: Where are they
Ps: They are running on the playground.
T: Who is running faster, the boy or the girl
Ps: the girl is running faster than the girl.
2. Let kids read the example once, and then ask them to make dialogue in groups.
3. Read/ act out their dialogue
IV. Summary
Let pupils make a summary about this lesson.

完成《活动手册》P37, Ex 4
Ex.2中任选三幅图仿照例句写对话(可扩展)
