Unit 4 What time is it
Let’s learn
Objectives
Hopefully the children will. Enjoy reading and listening to the story and be able to act it out.
Structures: What time is it I go to --- at ---.
Chunks: I‘m hungry.
I‘m full.
You are dead.
Procedures:
Ask the children to look at their books at Page 34 and read “let‘s learn” after the tape.
Ask the children to role-play “Let‘s Learn” with actions.
Group-work drawing: Assign a drawing task in which each child is describe his/her activity with pictures. Show them the model work as in “Project”.
When then finish, ask them to describe it in groups, e.g., “This is me. I'm a skipping rope.”
Get the children to show their picture to the other groups and describe it in English.
Play the “Right or wrong” game. Ask a group to come to the front and describe the people their picture one by one. If the description and the picture match, the whole class repeats the sentence again. If not, the other children should keep silent
LET‘S SING
Objectives:
Hopefully the pupils will be able to do the corresponding actions while singing; sing the song in chorus; enjoy the song
Language focus
Vocabulary:
Known: take a nap, have lunch, have dinner, do my homework
Structures:
Known: This is the way I ---.

Procedures:
Ask the children to look at let Ask the children whether they enjoy the game or not. Then tell them that they will learn the song in the game. Play the tape (Play VCD) and ask the children to hum the tune after the tape. Do this twice if necessary. Then teach them to read the words of the song with actions. Learn the new word naturally.
Sing the song after the tape with action. Do this twice if necessary.
Deliver the flash cards to some of the children (groups). Sing again. When it comes to the relevant action, the children (groups) with that flash card should stand up.
As there are questions and answers in the song, it‘s advisable to divide the class into questions groups and answer groups. Swap roles so that everyone can sing the whole song.

Procedures:
1. Name the game
2. Prepare the new words
3. Play the tape-recording or VCD of the song either at the very beginning or at the end of a lesson throughout the whole unit.
4. Ask different requirements of the children while learning, when the children listen to the dialogue for the first few times, asking them to point to the corresponding clothes will be enough. Then, ask them to say along, with the tape. Finally ask them to read along with the tape.
