二、教学目标
(一)语言知识目标
1.继续学习运用一般过去时描写过去的事情。
2.人物的描述和事迹介绍。
(二)语言技能目标
1.能用过去时谈论和介绍一些名人的情况。
2.能听懂和阅读有关人物介绍的文章,能从文章中提取关键的信息回答问题。
3.能运用所学的词汇与句型进行人物的描写。
(三)学习策略目标
1.鼓励学生积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。
2.能使用已学的策略进行阅读。
3.鼓励学生通过多种渠道主动获取信息。
4.通过收集、整理名人的资料培养学生有效运用多种媒体进行学习的策略。
5.培养学生学会将所学知识进行归纳总结,从而达到正确和灵活运用的目的。
(四)情感态度目标
1.敢于开口,积极参与课堂活动。
2.乐于和小组同学合作。
3.培养学生听名人故事,说名人故事的兴趣。
4.学习名人积极向上的精神。
(五)文化意识目标
1.了解名人的故事。
2.通过学习名人故事增加学生对中外历史文化的了解,拓展视野。
三、教学重点
1. 能用过去时谈论和介绍一些名人的情况。
2. 能听懂和阅读有关人物介绍的文章。
3. 能运用所学的词汇与句型进行人物的描写。
四、教学难点
1.能听懂和读懂有关人物介绍的文章。
2.口述并写作名人的故事。
五、教学策略
1.用设置任务、加强小组合作、参与介绍等方法提高学生的语言学习能力。
2.教师在处理本节复习课内容时要注意引导学生回忆并进行复习和巩固,并把复习的目标要求提高到听、说、读、写中,最终达到灵活运用。
六、教学过程
(一)热身与复习(Guessing game)
PPT呈现已学11个历史人物的图片(孙中山、毛泽东、周恩来、邓小平、罗宾汉、鲁迅、徐悲鸿、爱迪生、冼星海、居里夫人、卓别林),请学生用学过的短语和句型简短介绍这些人物(学生自选人物描述,其他学生猜其描述的人物是谁)。
(通过部分学生的Presentation,可以复习Module3之前所学的内容,老师也可以从中检测到学生们对知识的掌握程度,并调动学生的积极性,激发其学英语的兴趣。若部分学生未能正确描述,教师可以在PPT呈现一些描述该人物的提示词,照顾各个层次的学生,从而建立学生学习英语的自信心。)
(三)阅读与操练
这一节是整个单元的总复习课,设计阅读训练目的是提高学生的阅读理解能力,拓宽学生有关本单元内容的知识面,在学生进行阅读训练时老师应提醒学生要运用以前总结过的阅读策略,如:
Read the questions first.
(看文章前可以先看题目,做到有的放矢。)
Catch the keywords of the questions and articles.
(抓住问题和文章里的关键词。)
Guess the meaning of the new words from the passage.
(联系上下文猜测不懂的单词的意思。)
Pictures can help you to understand the articles.
(有时可以利用图帮助自己理解阅读材料。)
Don’t use your finger, only use your eyes read line by line.
(不要“指读”,这样会影响阅读的速度。)
阅读活动一:
(1) T通过前面复习历史人物引出下面的阅读材料,布置学生阅读并完成练习。
There was a great heroine in ancient China. She was Mulan. Mulan lived about 2,600 years age. Her father was a solider. He taught his three children everything about fighting(打仗).
One day, the emperor ordered Mulan’s father to go to the north, but he was old and sick. Mulan loved her father. She dress in man’s clothes. Then she rode a horse and went to fight.
Mulan was a very good solider for twelve years. No one knew she was a girl. She became very important. She was a brave woman who loved her family and country.
Years later, the fighting stopped. They asked Mulan to be one of the emperor’s top soldiers. But Mulan dress in girl’s clothes and went home with her family.

He Is the Richest Chinese in the World
Miss White asks her students to write about a famous person. Now Xiaoling and Janet are talking about their homework.
Janet: Who are you going to write about A movie star, a sports star, an artist or a famous leader
Xiaoling: I am going to write about my hero ---Mr. Li Jiacheng.
Janet: Who’s Li Jiacheng Is he a famous artist
Xiaoling: No. He’s a businessman. He’s the richest person in Hong Kong. And he’s also richest Chinese in the world.
Janet: Wom! Why do you like him
Xiaoling: He was born in a poor family in Shantou Guangdong, but he was intelligent(聪明) and diligent(勤劳). He started working as a shop assistant and became a manager when he was 18 years old. Now he is the most successful(成功的) businessman in China.
Janet: How old is he now
Xiaoling: he was born in 1928, so he is about 80 years old.
Janet: Is he still working now
Xiaoling: Yes. He is not working for money now but to help other people with his money. He has donated(捐助) to lots of schools and hospitals in China.

拓展与运用

小组活动
让学生在小组里用英语向同学介绍自己比较熟悉或感兴趣的,名人的简单事迹。(有网络的学校,可以鼓励学生上网查找有关的资料,也可以提前布置学生回家查找资料。)
请几名学生向全班同学作介绍。
写作训练
布置学生写一篇作文,自选描述一位熟悉的名人的情况,不少于五句话。

七、教学反思
本课的教学任务包含有听、说、读、写多个方面,内容比较多,在教学的过程中各教学环节一定要紧凑。最后写作部分若不够时间完成,教师可以在小组讨论及汇报时及时指导与评价,让学生课余时间再完成作文。
本课在教学的过程中安排了多个任务给学生先独立完成再行评讲,目的是为了培养六年级的学生在老师的指导下能半独立地完成一些学习任务,以便将来上中学后能够更快地适应中学的学习方式。
学生回家继续修改并完成作文时,可以通过网络查找有关人物介绍的资料,并运用到作文中。
整个单元的复习课设计的练习涉及面要尽量广,要在针对本单元知识的基础上训练听说读写几个方面。
