1. Words: wide old London from river clock high new round
2. Sentence drills: The river is very wide. And it’s very long. This is Big
Ben. It’s very tall.

教学过程
Step 1 Organization
Say hello to everyone and do TPR
“Say as I do, not as I say”.
T: I’m tall. 21世纪教育网http://21世纪教育网
S: You’re not tall, you’re short.
Step 2 Revision
The teacher shows some pictures, and says __
T: What is it like S: It is big, long, new, old, ….
Step 3 Presentation.
1. Show the picture, and guess “Which city ” then listen to the tape.
2. Question: Where is London
In London, there is a Big Ben, the London Eye, the River Thames,------- What is it like
3. Explain the text.
The River Thames----wide, long
Big Ben---------------tall, old
The London Eye----big, high, new
4. Read after the tape. Then finish the
AB(unit1-1) tall, old, long, wide, new, round.
The teacher continues to ask:
What is the house like What is this river like What is this wheel like
5. SBunit1-2.Practise to these sentences. Listen and say.
