教学反思:
通过本单元本课时的学习,大部分学生已经掌握了there be 句型的基本用法以及如何用介词表示方位,可以说本节课的目标已经基本实现。本节课课堂氛围较活跃,学生能够快乐的学习讨论。但同时我自身还有一些不足之处需要改进。例如,本节课的内容相对较少,考虑到了大部分学生的接受程度,但还有极少数尖子生可能会感觉内容过少,今后还需改进。

Section A (1a-1c)
教材分析:
本单元的话题是The neighborhood,学生在学习完本单元后能够做到在街上问路并为他人指路。学生已经学过询问地点的表达方法Where is… ? 在此基础上,本单元又加入了There be 句型,在复习巩固的基础上又学习了新的知识,温故而知新。本单元section A 部分的1a首先通过主题图片展示了各种社区设施和街区环境,呈现了相关词汇如restaurant police station等,很自然地将学生引入问路的情景中。1b设计了三个简短的对话,让学生通过听来了解如何询问和描述各种地区设施的地理位置,同时呈现there be 句型。1c 则要求学生模仿对话中的there be句型和答语进行问答练习。

三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Lead-in:(5mins)
Enjoy a song together, and then ask the students to say the prepositions in the song.
T: Good morning, class.At the beginning of the class, let’s enjoy a song, OK? Please listen carefully.
T: So do you like the song? Yes? OK, now let me ask you a question. Have you remembered any prepositions in the song?
S: in, on, under, in front of, behind, next to, between
Ⅱ. Presentation:(10mins)
1. T: Good, please try your best to remember these prepositions. We’ll use them to describe some places. So now let’s learn some words about places. Please look at these pictures, do you know these places? OK, the first one...

Ask the students to finish 1a, and then ask some students to read the words in 1a.
T: Have you remembered all the words? Now please open your books, turn to page43. Look at 1a. Match the words with the pictures.
Play a game to review the words of places. Show pictures quickly, and ask the students to say the words quickly.
Show a map, and then lead in the sentence: Is there...?
T: Now please look at this map carefully. You can look at here. This is our school. So is there a park near here?
S: Yes, there is. It’s on Haiqu Road.
T: Are there any supermarkets near here?
S: Yes, there’s one in front of our school.

1. Listen and finish 1b.
T: Now let’s do some listening practice. You will listen to three conversations. They are talking about some places. Please listen and circle the places you hear in 1a.

Look at the picture in 1a, and role-play the conversations. Ask the students to look at the picture and make conversations by themselves.

T: Now let’s pair work, a little difficult. You can look at here. Now who’d like to make a conversation with me?
Group work: Ask the students do a survey in their groups, and then fill in the chart. After that, write a report about the survey. And then ask groups to show their reports.
