能根据故事情节的发展将相关事件进行排序。
Step 1 Lead-in
Free talk
Talk about the coming festival – Tomb-Sweeping Festival. Ask students when it is and what people usually do during Tomb-Sweeping Festival.
Step 2 Reading
Before reading
Ask students to list as many traditional Chinese festivals as they can.
While reading
Task 1: Prediction
Ask students to look at the picture on Page 11 and the title of 3a and then guess what the passage is about.
Task 2: Read the passage quickly and answer the following questions.
·How do people celebrate the Mid- Autumn Festival?
·What do mooncakes look like? What meaning do they carry?
·What story is the reading about?
Work on 3b
Put the sentences in order without reading the story.
Read the passage again, check their answers.
Ask students to retell the story of Chang’e according to the pictures given.
After reading
Ask students to finish 3c without looking at the passage and then check their answers.
Let students have a discussion about the title “Full moon, full feelings”.
3. Suppose 10 years later, the students are working or studying far from their hometown, and they can’t come back home on Mid-Autumn Day. Ask them to write down what they want to say to their parents. Write a letter to them.
