第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(共15小题:每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
A
When
you
are
curious
about
something,and
want
to
know
more
about
it,you
can
use
the
way
of
asking
questions.
Asking
questions
is
the
first
step
to
make
discoveries
and
find
interesting
answers.
The
steps
below
can
guide
you
during
the
research.
Step
1
On
a
note
card
or
piece
of
paper,write
down
the
subject
that
you
are
interested
in.
Just
get
the
main
idea
down.
For
example,you
might
write:
Discover
more
about
dinosaurs.
Step
2
Next,
stop
and
think
for
a
moment
about
what
you
already
know
about
your
subject.
List
what
you
already
know
like
the
sentences
below:
(1)Dinosaurs
lived
long
before
human
beings
appeared.
(2)Dinosaurs
lived
on
the
earth
for
more
than
150
million
years.
(3)Some
dinosaurs
fed
on
plants,some
on
meat.
Step
3
What
can
you
do
with
what
you
want
to
learn?By
asking
questions.
On
your
paper,
start
writing
down
questions
about
the
dinosaurs
as
you
think
of
them:
(1)What’s
the
best
weather
for
dinosaurs
to
live
in?
(2)How
many
kinds
of
dinosaurs
are
there?
(3)Have
dinosaurs
really
disappeared?
Step
4
Armed
with
your
list
of
questions,you
can
now
go
to
the
nearest
library
or
computer
to
begin
your
research.
As
you
learn
more
about
your
subject,
you’ll
probably
discover
some
new
questions.
For
example,
you
might
discover
that
dinosaurs
disappeared
about
65
million
years
ago.
Why?What
happened?Asking
new
questions
can
help
you
research
your
subject
more
widely.
The
next
time
you
find
something
interesting
to
research,
take
time
to
organize
your
thinking
by
asking
good
questions.
And
remember
—
learning
more
always
bring
more
questions.
21.
When
you
do
some
research,you
should
take
the
following
steps:_____.
①list
what
you
want
to
know
②choose
a
research
subject
③list
what
you
already
know
④discover
new
problems
A.
①④③②
B.
③②④①
C.
②③①④
D.
④③①②
22.
What
does
the
underlined
sentence
“Armed
with
your
list
of
questions”
mean?
A.
Putting
your
list
of
questions
under
your
arm.
B.
Taking
your
list
of
questions
with
you.
C.
Discussing
your
questions
with
your
classmates.
D.
Writing
down
your
list
of
questions.
23.

Depression
can
be
a
destructive
illness,
plaguing
millions
of
people
worldwide
with
feelings
of
sadness,
hopelessness,
and
fatigue.
Despite
numerous
antidepressant
drugs,
as
many
as
a
third
of
patients
don’t
respond
to
medication.
This
has
forced
doctors
to
be
more
creative
in
finding
different
treatments
for
the
condition.
In
the
past
two
decades,
researchers
have
tied
depression
to
a
seemingly
unrelated
condition:
inflammation(炎症),
the
body’s
natural
response
to
stress.
It
could
rise
from
injury
or
inflection,
or
even
emotional
issues
like
an
unhappy
marriage
or
problems
at
work.
Some
amount
of
inflammation
is
generally
beneficial,
as
it
increases
production
of
cytokines(致癌因子),proteins
that
help
us
heal
and
protect
us
from
the
effects
of
overwork.
But
excessive
cytokine
levels,
and
the
inflammation
they
bring
on,
could
come
at
a
cost—a
number
of
studies
suggests
that
high
levels
of
cytokines
could
contribute
to
depression.
Cytokines
can
reach
the
brain
several
ways:
directly
through
the
blood-brain
barrier
or
indirectly
by
binding
to
nerve
fibers
elsewhere,
which
send
signals
to
the
brain
to
produce
the
inflammation
molecules.
In
the
brain,
cytokines
can
disturb
the
production
and
release
of
several
important
signaling
chemicals,
including
serotonin,
dopamine
and
glutamate,
which
help
control
emotion,
appetite,
sleep,
learning
and
memory.
It’s
though
that
a
lack
of
serotonin
activity
in
the
brain
causes
depression;
most
antidepressants
increase
the
activity.
But
cytokines
also
have
been
shown
to
activate
stress
hormone
signaling
in
the
brain,
which
man
also
serve
to
develop
depression.
With
all
the
evidence
implicating inflammation
in
depression,
doctors
have
been
anxious
to
test
anti-inflammatory
drugs
as
a
potential
treatment.
Four
small
studies
published
between
2006
and
2012
by
research
groups
in
Europe
and Iran
found
that
adults
diagnosed
with
depression
who
took
aspirin
or
another
anti-inflammatory
drug
called
Celecoxib,
along
with
an
antidepressant,
got
more
relief
from
feelings
of
sadness,
hopelessness,
guilt
and
fatigue
compared
with
those
taking
an
antidepressant
alone.
However,
Andrew
Miller,
a
professor
of
psychiatry
at Emory University,
thought
something
was
wrong
in
these
small,
limited
studies.
None
of
them
looked
at
whether
the
participants
had
to
have
high
levels
of
cytokines
before
they’d
see
a
benefit
from
anti-inflammatory
drugs.
“Unfortunately,
much
of
the
field
has
fallen
into
the
trap
of
viewing
inflammation
as
the
be-all,
end-all,”
Miller
says.
He
and
his
colleagues
wanted
to
see
whether
the
effect
of
these
drugs
was
limited
to
the
depression
patients
with
high
cytokine
levels,
or
if
it
helped
all
people
diagnosed
with
depression.

depression
is

Instagram

way
to
share
your

a

to
transform
its
look
and

then
post
to
Instagram—it’s
that
easy.You
can
even
share
to
Facebook,
Twitter
and
more.It’s
a
new
way
to
see
the
world.So
many
photos
of
food
are
contained
on
Instagram—now
a
pop-up
diner
in
London
is
taking
advantage
of
this
new
trend
by
letting
people
settle
the
bill
for
their
meals
simply
by
uploading
photos
of
their
dishes
to
social
networks.
I
always
thought
people’s
taking
pictures
of
their
food
was
kind
of
silly,but
at
this
new
pop-up
restaurant
in
the
UK,I’d
probably
do
it
too.“The
Picture

is
the
world’s
first
pay-by-photo
restaurant.
You
order,

came
up
with
the
idea
to
cash
in
on
people’s
addiction
with
photographing
food
and
sharing
the
pictures
online.They
conducted
a
survey
and
found
out
that
more
than
half
of
the
British
population
regularly
took
pictures
of
their
meals.So
they
realized
it
was
a
better
way
to
advertise
their
new
dining
range.
The
pop-up

was
open
in
Soho,London
for
three
days
in
May,and
is
now
moving
to
other
major
UK
cities.They
serve
two-course
meals
that
customers
don’t

of

“Food

campaign,a
new
marketing
project
that
aims
at
changing
the
way
people
look
at
frozen
food.“Taking

enables
people
to

With
all
the
wars,
fighting
and
sadness
in
the
world
today,
it's
not
only
necessary,
but
also
essential
to
have
a
good
sense
of
humor
just
to
help
us
get
through
each
and
every
day
of
our
lives.
Putting
a
smile
on
someone's
face
when
you
know
they
are
feeling
down
in
the
dump,
makes
me
feel
good
and
warms
my
heart.
How
would
you
feel
if
you
could
not
joke
around
with
your
wife,
husband,
child,
co-worker,
neighbor,
close
friends,
or
even
just
someone
that
you
are
standing
in
line
with
at
your
corner
store
I
am
always
saying
things
that
make
others
smile
or
laugh,
even
if
I
don't
know
the
person
I'm
joking
around
with.
My
Grandma
always
found
humor
in
everything
she
did,
even
if
it
was
the
hardest
job
anyone
could
imagine.
This
not
only
relieves
stress
in
any
situation,
but
also
is
common
courtesy(礼貌)to
speak
to
others
that
are
around
you.
I
know
of
a
few
people
that
don't
have
a
funny
bone
in
their
bodies,
as
they
say.
Everyone
around
them
could
be
rolling
on
the
floor
after
hearing
a
great
joke
and
they
would
sit
there
without
the
slightest
smile
on
their
face.
They
don't
get
the
joke
that
makes
others
laugh.
I
am
busting
a
gut
while
they
just
sit
there,
looking
at
me
as
if
I
were
from
outer
space.
How
can
people
not
get
a
really
funny
joke
Laughing
is
essential
to
keep
your
stress
levels
under
control.
Without
humor
we
would
find
ourselves
with
a
lot
of
psychological
problems,
or
on
a
lot
of
medications
to
keep
us
from
going
crazy.
There
is
too
much
sadness
in
this
present
world.
It
drives
people
crazy.
We
all
need
to
find
a
way
to
ignore
the
sadness
and
bring
a
little
light
into
our
lives.
So,
I
believe
our
best
medicine
is
to
get
together
and
tell
some
jokes
and
have
some
fun
laughing
together.

Folk
songs
differ
in
subject
matter
from
war,
work,
economic
hardship
and,
of
course,
love.
From
the
very
beginning
of
American
history,
folk
music
has
show
up
at
times
when
people
needed
it
most.
The
earliest
folk
songs
rose
from
slave
fields
as
spirituals
(黑人圣歌),
such
as
“Down
by
the
Riverside”
and
“We
Shall
Overcome”.
Songs
like
these
reflect
both
human
suffering
and
the
strength
of
the
human
spirit.
38
The
20th
century
saw
folk
music
become
even
more
popular
in
social
settings.
39
They
learned
songs
together
that
helped
them
deal
with
their
bad
work
environment.
Joe
Hill
was
early
folk
song
writer
and
union
organizer.
His
songs
were
about
the
ongoing
labor
struggles.
40
A.
Their
origins
are
hard
to
tell.
B.
They
show
there
is
always
hope
in
life.
C.
They
fought
for
equal
rights.
D.
Folk
music
became
popular
since
then.
E.
His
songs
have
been
sung
during
worker
strikes(罢工)ever
since.
F.
Workers

G.

has

the
music

people.

One
afternoon,
after
I
finished
all
my
work,
I
went
to
tour
an
art
museum.
When
I
was
looking
forward
to
a
quiet
41
of
the
masterpieces
(名作)
,
a
young
couple
viewing
the
paintings
ahead
of
me
talked
42
between
themselves
.
I
watched
them
a
moment
and
43
she
was
doing
all
the
talking.
I
admired
his
patience
for
44
up
with
her
talkativeness(健谈,饶舌).
Annoyed
by
their
noise,
I
moved
on.
I
45
with
them
several
times
as
I
moved
through
the
various
rooms
of
art.
Each
time
I
heard
her
constant
46
of
words,
I
moved
away
quickly.
I
was
making
a
purchase
at
the
counter
of
the
gift
shop
when
I
47
the
couple
approaching
the
exit.
Before
they
left
,
the
man
took
out
a
walking
stick
and
then
tapped
(轻敲着)
his
48
into
the
coatroom
to
get
his
wife’s
jacket.
“He’s
a
49
man,”
the
clerk
at
the
counter
said.
“Most
of
us
would50
if
we
were
blind
at
such
a
young
age.
During
his
recovery
,
he
made
a
vow
(誓言)
51
his
life
wouldn’t
change
.
52
,
as
before,
he
and
his
wife
come
in
53
there’s
a
new
art
show.”
“But
what
does
he
get
out
of
54
”I
asked.
“He
can’t
see.”
“Can’t
see!
You’re
55
.
He
sees
a
lot.
More
than
you
or
I,”The
clerk
said
.“His
wife
56
each
painting
so
he
can
see
in
his
head.
”
I
learned
something
about
patience,
courage
and
love
that
day.
I
saw
the
57
of
a
young
wife
describing
paintings
to
a
person
without
58
and
the
courage
of
a
husband
who
would
not
59
blindness
to
change
his
life.
And
I
saw
the
love
60
by
two
people
as
I
watched
this
couple
walk
away
hand
in
hand.

书面表达(满分20分)
The
Ant
and
the
Grasshopper(蚱蜢)
In
a
field
one
summer’s
day
a
Grasshopper
was
hopping
about,
chirping
and
singing
to
her
heart’s
content.
An
Ant
passed
by,
carrying
with
great
effort
an
ear
of
corn.
He
was
taking
it
to
his
nest.
“Why
not
come
and
chat
with
me,”
said
the
Grasshopper,
“instead
of
carrying
and
toiling
in
that
way ”
“I
am
helping
to
lay
up
some
food
for
the
winter,”
said
the
Ant,
“and
recommend
you
to
do
the
same.”
“Why
bother
about
winter ”
said
the
Grasshopper,
“We
have
got
plenty
of
food
at
present.”
But
the
Ant
went
on
his
way
and
continued
the
toil.
When
a
cold,
frosty
winter
day
came,
the
Ant
was
dragging
out
some
of
the
corn
which
he
had
laid
up
in
the
summer
time,
to
dry
it.
The
Grasshopper,
half
consumed
with
hunger,
begged
the
Ant
to
give
her
a
morsel
of
it
to
preserver
her
life.
“What
were
you
doing,”
said
the
Ant,
“this
last
summer ”
“Oh,”
said
the
Grasshopper,
“I
was
not
idle.
I
kept
singing
all
the
summer
long.”
The
Ant
said,
laughing
and
shutting
up
his
granary:
“Since
you
could
sing
all
summer,
you
may
dance
all
winter.”
Winter
finds
out
what
summer
lays
by.

第二节
书面表达(满分20分)
One
possible
version:
The
grasshopper
just
enjoyed
herself
by
singing
all
the
summer.
Thus,
she
had
nothing
to
eat
in
the
winter.
Meanwhile,
the
ant
planned
ahead,
working
hard
to
lay
up
enough
food
for
the
winter.
It
is
obvious
that
the
fable
provides
a
moral
lesson
about
hard
work
and
preparation
for
the
future.
First,
one
needs
to
work
hard
to
realize
his
dream
just
as
the
famous
saying
goes
“Hard
work
leads
to
success”,
which
is
a
universal
truth
that
we
must
keep
in
mind
forever.
Second,
we’d
better
prepare
for
the
days
of
necessity.
As
more
proverbs
illustrate,
take
an
umbrella
in
case.
As
for
me,
I
admire
the
ant
for
his
hard
work
and
good
planning.
As
a
Senior
high
student,
it
is
necessary
to
put
efforts
into
study
and
make
good
preparations
for
all
the
challenges
lying
ahead.
