a. Review the phrases:

b. What’s the weather like today The sun is shining.

What is Zhangjing doing She is reading books.
What is your math teacher doing He is marking our homework.
c. Please ask and answer in pairs using the following phrases and questions:
read books ride a bike play games play hide-and-seek kick a ball throw a ball have a picnic drink milk learn English

Ⅱ. Presentation
a. Look at the following words and try do discuss how they are formed:

Practice: give the present participle: put work lie wave stop
b. Don’t look at the book only listen to the tape and point to the correct pictures. (show pictures)
Ⅲ.New teaching
Look at the pictures again and then try to give questions and answers in groups.
Sometimes they can give more interesting sentences. then the sentences from books. Then compare theirs with those in books.
Ⅳ. Practice
Listen to the tape and then repeat.
Look at the pictures on page 13 from students’ book and make up a story telling us what they are doing.
