我们中国人使用筷子历来很讲究。从小,父母就教育我们不要用嘴含住筷子,不要用筷子指着别人等等。历史发展到今天,很多老道道都不讲了。但在比较正式的吃饭场合,有不少在使用筷子方面的禁忌,我们还是应该注意的。
1.在用餐过程中桌面上不能摆放长短不一的筷子,造成“三长两短”的局面。这是很不吉利
的,寓意着“死亡”。
2.不能用筷子敲打碗盘,民间就有“敲碗敲筷子,讨吃一辈子”的说法,寓意着“贫穷”。因为过去只有要饭的才用筷子击打要饭盆,其发出的声响配上嘴里的哀告,吸引行人注意并给与施舍。在同样使筷子吃饭的韩国和日本,这一忌讳也是一样的。
3.忌拿筷子“仙人指路”。这种拿筷子的方法是,用大拇指和中指、无名指、小指捏住筷子,而食指伸出。这在北京人眼里叫“骂大街”。因为在吃饭时食指伸出,总在不停地指别人,北京人一般伸出食指去指对方时,大都带有指责的意思。所以说,吃饭用筷子时用手指人,无异于指责别人,这同骂人是一样的,是不能够允许的。还有一种情况也是这种意思,那就是吃饭时同别人交谈并用筷子指人。
4.
不要把筷子含在嘴里嘬,并不时发出咝咝声响。或把筷子当牙签在嘴里搅。这种行为被视为是一种下作的做法。因为在吃饭时用嘴嘬筷子的本身就是一种无礼的行为,再加上配以声音,更是让人难以忍受。。
5.不要手里拿着筷子,做旁若无人状,用筷子来回在桌子上的菜盘里扒拉,挑拣自己喜欢的菜肴。此种行为是典型的缺乏修养的表现,且目中无人,极其令人反感。
6.
夹菜动作要小心,不要太贪婪,一次不要夹太多。夹得太多,手里不利落,将菜汤撒到其它菜里或桌子上,会被视为严重失礼。
7.
用餐时要注意,千万不可将筷子颠倒使用,这种做法是非常被人看不起的,正所谓饥不择食,以至于都不顾脸面了,将筷子使倒,这是绝对不可以的。
8.
特别忌讳在用餐时用一根筷子去插盘子里的菜品,或两根筷子当一根用。这种行为被认为是对同桌用餐人员的一种羞辱,也是不行的。
9.
忌“当众上香”。假如你帮别人盛好饭后,为了方便省事,把一副筷子插在饭中递给对方,被会人视为大不敬。因为按祖宗规矩,为死人上香时才这样做,如果把一副筷子插入饭中,无异是咒别人早死。
10.不要在用餐时将筷子随便交叉放在桌上。这一点往往不被人们所注意。在饭桌上打叉子,是对同桌其他人的全部否定,就如同学生写错作业,被老师在本上打叉子的性质一样,不能被他人接受。这种做法也是对自己的不尊敬,因为过去吃官司画供时才打叉子,这也就无疑是在否定自己。

揭秘印度人吃饭为何用手抓
虽然目前在许多正式场合,印度人已经开始用刀叉吃饭,但在私底下,他们仍然习惯用手抓饭吃。“手抓饭”是印度人长久以来的就餐习俗,吃饭前他们会先洗净手,然后準备就餐。如果去印度人家里做客,一定要尝试“手抓饭”的乐趣。也正因为这一习惯,使得印度大部分菜都被做成糊状,这样才便于用手抓饼卷着吃,或是抓米饭拌着吃。
每人面前摆放一个大盘子,把米饭盛上,再浇上菜和汤,然后用手稍加混合,捏成团,就抓着送进嘴里。在街头的小吃摊、小吃店以及寺庙里,人们通常用一种干树叶压制成的盘子来盛食物,有的餐馆则给每个吃饭的人一片新鲜的大树叶子,用来盛米饭等食物,这倒是很环保。
印度人认为吃饭中很多快感来自触觉,刀叉和筷子阻止了这种感觉,所以也就阻却了特有的快感。更重要的是,用手抓饭可以提前了解食物的温度,避免烫着舌头或者口腔。印度人抓饭时大多只用3个手指,那就是拇指、食指和中指。他们先用这3个手指伸直按在面饼边缘,成三股叉状,然后中指使力成弯曲状,压住饼子不动,拇指和食指一齐用力撕下一小块面饼,接着三根手指协同作战,用饼子将菜包住,就像吃北京烤鸭那样,最后捏住送入口中,捏的动作就像用钳子夹住一样东西。
印度人的主食除了面饼,还有米饭。吃米饭时,先用那三根手指将米饭和各种菜汤均匀搅拌,就像搅拌机搅拌水泥一样,然后撮起一小堆,送入口中。有的人手指不是很麻利,于是便五根手指一齐上阵。印度人吃饭还有一个规矩,无论大人还是孩子,一定要用右手吃饭,给别人递食物、餐具,更得用右手。这是因为人们认为右手干净,左手脏。这又与印度人的另一个习惯有关。印度人如厕以后,不用手纸擦,而是用水冲洗,冲洗时,用左手,不用右手。
在餐馆或印度人家里吃饭,当快吃完的时候,主人往往会给每人端上一小碗温水,上面还漂着一块柠檬,这水可千万不能喝,它是用来洗手的。饭后,还会端上一盘绿色麦粒状的香料,供大家咀嚼,以消除口中的异味。
也许有人觉得印度人吃相不雅,但更应该理解,这和使用筷子、刀叉吃饭一样,只是一种习惯,根本没有雅俗之分。
(3)英美文化:10条不可不知的西方餐桌礼仪
