并列复合句是指由并列连词and, but, or等把两个或两个以上的简单句连在一起而构成的句子。
1.并列复合句的构成。
并列复合句的基本结构是：简单句+并列连词+简单句。 如：
He studies well and his sister is good at drawing.他学习好，他姐姐擅长画画。
2.并列连词前后简单句之间的关系。(1)and 表并列关系。
He gave me a present and I liked it very much.他给了我一份礼物，我很喜欢。
(2)or表选择关系。
You can dance in the park, or you can run to exercise.你可以在公园里跳舞，或者你可以跑步锻炼。
(3)but表示转折关系
I am a Chinese, but my husband is from America.我是个中国人，但我的丈夫来自美国。
注意：but不能与though/ although 用在同一个句子中表达“虽然……但是……”,两者只能用其一。【语法专练】
