课前准备
准备Susan
家所在小区的教学光碟,以备新课和操练环节使用。
学生准备自己家所在小区的简图,为开展小组合作学习提供材料。
准备小区内设施图片,作为奖励表现出色同学的评价卡片。
每组准备一大张白纸,在设计理想中的小区时使用。

game:

有两位同学到前面做无声表演,其他同学猜一猜他们在哪里。如一位同学扮演医生,一位同学扮演病人,医生正在为病人检查。猜出They
are
in
a
hospital.的同学为赢家,获得hospital评价卡一张,表演的同学同时也获得奖励。

1)整体呈现文本,突破重点单词
教师利用本课光碟,整体呈现Susan居住的小区环境,并告诉同学This
is
a
community.突破community一词。教师对小区进行整体介绍:

in
it.
There
is

near

and
there
is
a
river
behind
the
park.
There
are
a
lot
of
trees
and
flowers
in
the
park.
On
the
main

there

between

hotel
and
a
bookshop.

2)回顾小区设施,突破重点句型。
教师帮助学生将小区内设施逐一回顾,并在黑板上用小图片摆出小区详图,同时突破重点句型There
is/are…
near/
behind/beside/across…,
帮助学生熟悉There
be
句型和表达方位的介绍。
3)介绍设施用途,引发小组讨论
教师启发学生对陈设在黑板上的小区内设施的用途展开小组讨论,并发表意见:

依据课文描述Susan所在社区内设施的用途,学生小组讨论小区内这些设施还可以帮助我们做什么,如我们在公园里可以放风筝,在银行里可以取钱等,以此来发散学生的思维,并尝试用英语进行描述和表达。
3)再次听录音,实现整体回顾
教师带领学生们利用多媒体重温课文,通过跟读、分组朗读课文方式模仿录音语音、语调,再次整体回顾文本。
4.Language
use
描述自己小区概况,尝试本课语言运用
学生根据课文来介绍自己小区内的概况,并配以简图,同时描述要加上自己的思想,初步尝试用所学语言进行表达。在介绍时教师要对学生语言表达的逻辑性进行引导,如介绍的顺序可以由上至下,由左至右,还可以以某一点为中心进行介绍等。
