课前准备
1.教学录音磁带 2.教学挂图 3.学生准备英汉词典
教学过程:
Step1 Greeting.
Step2 Revision
1. Read the words of the famous sceneries of Canada and China.
2. Try to talk something about China.
Step3 Reading
1. Show the first picture of the story. Let the students look carefully, then ask: What do you see in the picture Where are they What are they doing What do they want to do Do you like traveling Have you ever been here …
2. Read the story in groups. Try to deal with the new words by dictionary.
3. Answer questions: Who are they Where are they Are they in trouble Let the students answer .
4. Look listen and read the story.
5. Help each other. Tell out their new words and sentences. The students deal with the new words together, read together.
6. Listen to the tape again. Students follow the tape and imitated. Finish partB.
7. Group work. Try to retell the story. Prepare to act the story.

教学过程

2. Guessing game What country is it I’m thinking of a country. It is famous for maple leaves. What country is it Let some students be small teachers.
Step3 Presentation
1. Show a map of the world. Try to get to know the shape of the countries.
2. Look the pictures carefully and talk something about. What country is it It is famous for…
3. Listen and match. Play the tape for the students to listen and try to match the people with the countries.
4. Have a check. Let one students tell the answers ,others say “Yes” or “No”.
Step4Practice
1. Let’s play.
1) Read the sentences in this lesson. Try to talk something about it.
2) Ask and answer by using their own cards.
3) Group work Help each other.
4) Role—play Sow their group work in the class.
2. Read and number
Let the students do it themselves. Then do pair work to check. At last check in class.
