Teaching difficult points :
1) Ask the price by using the expressions: “How much is … It’s …” “How much are they They are…” and make sure they can use new words frequently and correctly.
2) Finish the survey by themselves and act the situation by using the shopping expressions.

4 Teaching methods
Establish a real scene and interact with my pupils.
Create many activities to encourage them to use the expressions about shopping correctly and speak English loudly.
Make use of the modern electrical equipments and all kinds of teaching tools, which can mobilize the Ss’ enthusiasm and creativity in learning English.
5 Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing.
Step 1 Warming-up
Watch a model show and remember the clothes what they can see. And the same time I’ll put some pictures on the blackboard to present their answers.
1) Review the words about clothes and make a preparation for asking the price of clothes.
2) Attract their attention .
3) Develop their observation.
Step 2 New words learning
Teach the new words by using the modern electrical equipment to present the pictures .
1) Attract their attention .
2) Make them easily understand the meanings of the new words.
Step 3 Presentation
1) Answer “I want…” (By this way, I want to lead to “money”
2) Recognize how to read the value of money correctly (Make a preparation for asking the price of money.)
3) Look and guess the price of clothes. (By guessing again and again, they know how to use the patterns “how much” correctly.
Step 4 Practice
1)Guess: Look , remember the price and answer “how much”. Look at which group and do better.
2)Make a survey: ask their partner and write down the price.
By making a competition with different teams, all pupils come into our class.
Consolidate and deepen the sentence pattern.
Step 5 Extension
1) Listen and repeat the expressions about shopping. (To develop their ability of speaking and listening .)
2) Role change : teacher will be a guest, and student will be a assistant . (To help Ss further understand the main content of the dialogue and get the key points by scene demonstration. )
3)Divide classroom into several business zones: clothes store, shoes store, boutique etc. All of Ss can be bosses and guests. Make a deal by the expressions about shopping.
Consolidate and deepen the sentence pattern further more .
Develop their mutual improvement in exchanging information during the communicating activities.
Make all the Ss take their parts in the activities, especially for the Ss who have trouble in English study, and they can speak with ease.
Step 7 Homework
1) Write down five sentence about asking the price.
2)Make a conversation by using the expressions about shopping.
Develop their habits of reviewing what they have learned today and develop their ability of organization of language .
