Unit 1 Colours

二、学习目标(Learning objectives)
1. 在特定的语境中学习“mountain, sea, swallow, willow”四个新授单词，理解词义，会拼写。
2. 通过What colour is/are the… 的询问来了解周围自然景物的颜色，培养学生一定的观察能力和表述能力。
三、教学建议
1、任务前期准备阶段（Pre-task preparation section）
这个环节主要让学生获得对新语言材料的第一次感知，也包括复习以前的课程，但是，更主要的目的在于创设情景，给学生以引入新授知识的内容框架。同时，也要使学生熟悉学习任务及其本身所需要使用的语言，如词汇，句型，功能表达等。

1 Warmer ⒈Ask the students to look at the screen and sing the song《Colours》. 选取和本课主题相关的歌曲作为导入，既巧妙地复习了已学单词，又激发了学习兴趣。

1 Review the words of colours they have learned. 1.(Show a black-white picture) Ask the students to try to remember what they see in the picture.2. The students tell what they see in the picture and the teacher shows them the picture to see who is right.3. Ask the students to colour the picture.4. Ask the students to spell the words of colours by questions and answers. 教师一开始就运用“Memory game”引出主题，既让学生感受到应用的场合和实际语用环境，又在无形中为后面的新授做了铺垫。
2、任务中期实施阶段（While-task procedure section）
While-task Procedure，这是指语言技能的习得过程。其中分为机械性操练和意义性操练两部分。机械性操练可以让学生准确地模仿、复说新授的语言，让他们经过从模仿到识记的过程，使新知识由感知、理解、模仿直到储存。

1 New words: swallow,willow,mountain，sea Elicit “swallow” by asking the colour of the bird.Ask the students to say a rhyme: swallow, swallow, come, come, come. swallow, swallow, swallow, go, go, go.Elicit “ willow” by telling the students the name of the tree.Ask the students to imagine the shape of willows with gesture.Elicit “ mountain” by asking the colour and why.Tell the name of the mountains the students know.Elicit “ sea” by comparing these three words “river”, “ lake”, “sea’. 以不同的形式，让学生接触，熟悉新授单词，并巧妙地将语言知识的传授，语言技能的培养，孩子们的童趣，情趣和兴趣整合在有限的教学时空中，充分发挥其主体性和创造性。

1 New Pattern:What colour is/are the… It’s/ They’re… Encourage the students to ask’ Wh-‘ questions about this picture of spring.Eg:Sa- What colour is the butterfly It’s yellow.Ss- Imitate the sentences.Let the students ask and answer the rest of colours in this picture.(pair works)Show the new patterns on the blackboard.Ask the students to substitute(change some pictures) 在前一阶段学习单词的基础上，鼓励学生自然而然引出新授句型。同桌间的相互问答，既操练了新授内容，又增加了学生的体验机会。出示新授句型，让学生加深对其印象，并过渡到音—意—形的理解。通过替换练习巩固。

Yolanda colours the cat white and yellow,too.①Ask the students to read after the tape②Ask the students to do exercises on page 30. 在机械性操练的基础上，通过朗读课文调整学生的读音。由两人一组的问答，及自由问答，使学生学会初步使用新语言。

1 Look and match Write up the name of the colour next to each flashcard. Get the students to repeat them in chorus and, if necessary, work on pronunciation.Put the new patterns on the board:What colour is/are the… It’s/ They’re…Divide the class into two teams, A and B. Ask them to close their eyes. Get team B to ask them questions about objects in another picture, for example:” What colour is the mountain What colour are the flowers ” Team A must try to remember , keeping their eyes shut. No peeping!After four or five questions, ask team B to close their eyes and get team A to ask questions. 通过带有竞争性的记忆游戏操练句型，即有趣，又增强了语言的实际运用能力。
3、任务后期完成阶段（Post-task activity section）
Post-task Activity，这是指经过机械性操练和意义性操练，引导学生运用他们所获得的知识与技能来完成一个交际性的任务“task”，也就是语言的输出：output。学生通过前两个阶段的学习，在知识和能力上已具备综合新旧知识进行交际的能力，教师可以根据学生的实际水平设计或选用提供的活动，使学生在相应的尽可能贴近生活的语境中，正确有效使用习得语言，完成交际性的任务。
