教学过程：
Step 1
利用图片，复习形容词的比较级。（板书原形与比较级。）

The elephant is bigger than the ant. The ant is smaller than the elephant.
图：elephant ant whale man woman child Yaoming Liuxiang
Step 2
在原比较级的基础上，学习最高级。
在河马和蚂蚁的图上，出示鲸鱼，问：Which is the biggest animal in the picture 答：The whale is the biggest animal in the picture.
学习biggest. 带读biggest，est [ist], g-ist biggest, 检查个别学生。
齐读投影的句子。The whale is the biggest animal in the picture.
同一图，学习smallest.
同理学习oldest, youngest , fastest , slowest , tallest , shortest , 单词读音由教师带读到学生自已拼读过渡。句子由出示整句到提示过渡。
Step 3
小结。最高级的形式，和读音。
一般在单词后加est，在句子中所有最高级前都有the.
出示前半规律时，在黑板上板书最高级。带出为什么是一般，有没有其他形式？ 双写和most
齐读板书。听录音。
Step 4
操练句子：看图，说句子。（先出问题，让学生回答。四到五图）

巩固练习。句子填空。
用所给词语的最佳形式填空。
1、 The blue bike is cheaper than the red bike. And the black bike is the cheapest of all the bikes.(便宜)
2、 The bus is more expensive than the bike. The plane is the most expensive of the three.（贵）
3、 My brother is taller than me . My father is the tallest in my family.（高）
4、 The whale is the biggest animal in the world.（大）
5、 Liudong runs the fastest in my class.（快）
