The
Taj
Mahal
(泰姬陵)
is
a
love
story,
a
sad
and
beautiful
one.
If
it
didn’t
exist,
we
would
easily
imagine
that
the
story
of
its
construction
was
simply
a
fairy
tale.
Three
hundred
years
ago,
there
lived
an
Indian
emperor
called
Shah
Jahan.
His
wife
was
a
beautiful
and
bright
woman
whom
he
loved
greatly.
Her
title
was
Mumtazl
Mahan:
its
shortened
form
Taj
Mahan,
means
“pride
of
the
palace”.
In
the
year
1630
this
beloved
wife
of
the
emperor
died.
He
was
so
brokenhearted
that
he
thought
of
giving
up
his
throne.
He
decided
out
of
his
love
for
his
wife,
to
build
her
the
most
beautiful
tomb
that
had
ever
been
seen.

He
summoned
the
best
artists
and
architects
from
India,
Turkey,
Persia
and
Arabia
and
finally,
the
design
was
complete.
It
took
more
than
twenty
thousand
men
working
over
a
period
of
18
years
to
build
the
Taj
Mahan,
one
of
the
most
beautiful
buildings
in
the
world.

The
building
itself
stands
on
a
marble
platform
29
meters
square
and
6-7
meters
high.
Towers
rise
from
each
of
the
four
corners.
The
Taj
itself
soars
another
61
meters
into
the
air.
It
is
an
eight-sided
building
made
of
white
marble.
The
emperor
planned
to
build
an
identical
tomb
of
black
marble
for
himself
on
the
other
side
of
the
river
connected
by
a
silver
bridge.
However
his
son
put
him
into
a
prison
in
the
palace
before
he
could
finish,
and
for
the
rest
of
his
life,
he
could
only
gaze
across
river
at
the
tomb
of
his
beloved
wife.

after

riding

China’s

up
with
350
million
comments
related
to
the
parade.
While
many

their
love
of
their
country
and
pride,
few
posts
were
filled
with
criticism.
“The
soldiers
are

Have
you
ever
run
into
a
careless
cell
phone
user
on
the
street
Perhaps
they
were
busy
talking,
testing
or
checking
updates
on
WeChat
without
looking
at
what
was
going
on
around
them.
As
the
number
of
this
new
“species”
of
human
has
kept
rising,
they
have
been
given
a
new
name

phubbers
(低头族).

Recently,
a
cartoon
created
by
students
from
China
Central
Academy
of
Fine
Arts
put
this
group
of
people
under
the
spotlight.
In
the
short
film,
phubbers
with
various
social
identities
bury
themselves
in
their
phones.
A
doctor
plays
with
his
cell
phone
while
letting
his
patient
die,
a
pretty
woman
takes
selfie
in
front
of
a
car
accident
site
and
a
father
loses
his
child
without
knowing
about
it
while
using
his
mobile
phone.
A
chain
of
similar
events
eventually
leads
to
the
destruction
of
the
world.

Although
the
ending
sounds
overstated,
the
damage
phubbing
can
bring
is
real.
Your
health
is
the
first
to
bear
the
effect
and
result
of
it.
“Constantly
bending
your
head
to
check
your
cell
phone
could
damage
your
neck,”
Guangming
Daily
quoted
doctors
as
saying.
“The
neck
is
like
a
rope
that
breaks
after
long-term
stretching.”
Also,
staring
at
cell
phones
for
long
periods
of
time
will
damage
your
eyesight
gradually,
according
to
the
report.

But
that’s
not
all.
Being
a
phubber
could
also
damage
your
social
skills
and
drive
you
away
from
your
friends
and
family.
At
reunions
with
family
or
friends,
many
people
tend
to
stick
to
their
cell
phones
while
others
are
chatting
happily
with
each
other
and
this
creates
a
strange
atmosphere,
Qilu
Evening
News
reported.

It
can
also
cost
you
your
life.
There
have
been
lots
of
reports
on
phubbers
who
fell
to
their
death,
suffered
accidents,
and
were
robbed
of
their
cell
phones
in
broad
daylight.
8.
For
what
purpose
does
the
author
give
the
example
of
a
cartoon
in
Para.
2

A.
To
inform
people
of
the
bad
effects
of
phubbing.

B.
To
advertise
the
cartoon
made
by
students.

C.
To
indicate
the
world
will
finally
be
destroyed
by
phubbers.

D.
To
warn
doctors
against
using
cell
phones
while
treating
patients.
9.
Which
of
the
following
is
NOT
a
risk
a
phubber
may
have

A.
His
social
skills
could
be
affected.

B.
His
neck
and
eyesight
will
be
gradually
harmed.

C.
He
will
cause
the
destruction
of
the
world.

D.
He
might
get
separated
from
his
friends
and
family.
10.
Which
of
the
following
may
be
the
author’s
attitude
towards
phubbing

A.
Supportive.
B.
Opposed.
C.
Optimistic.

D.
Objective.
11.
What
may
the
passage
talk
about
next

A.
Advice
on
how
to
use
a
cell
phone.
B.
People
addicted
to
phubbing.

C.
Measures
to
reduce
the
risks
of
phubbing.
D.
Consequences
of
phubbing.
D
Do
you
have
those
days
when
you
say
to
yourself,
“I
don’t
need
school,”
or
those
days
when
you
don’t
feel
like
rolling
out
of
bed
You’re
not
alone,
but
doing
well
in
school
will
set
you
up
to
have
the
life
you
want
down
the
road.
There
are
many
things
you
can
do
to
keep
yourself
motivated
in
school.
Imagine
the
life
you
want
as
an
adult.
School
may
be
boring
on
a
day-to-day
basis,
and
some
of
your
classes
might
feel
unimportant
right
now,
but
remember
that
without
school,
you
won’t
be
able
to
live
the
life
you
want
as
an
adult.
Studies
have
shown
that
young
people
working
toward
clear
goals
have
higher
achievements
and
life
satisfaction.
Write
a
list
of
the
things
you’d
like
to
be
able
to
provide
for
yourself
as
an
adult.
Some
examples
of
things
you
want
as
an
adult
might
include
traveling
the
world,
supporting
a
family,
having
extra
money
to
see
concerts,
eat
out
in
fancy
restaurants,
see
plays,
etc.
Schedule
your
study
time.
If
you
don’t
set
yourself
up
to
do
well
in
school,
you’ll
absolutely
hate
facing
it
every
day.
By
creating
a
regular
schedule
for
after
school
and
the
weekends,
you’ll
bring
up
your
grades,
improve
your
self-confidence,
and
appreciate
school
more.
What
you
can
do
includes
setting
a
patterned
routine.
Successful
people
often
stick
to
regular
routines
to
help
them
stay
on
task
and
achieve
their
goals.
Besides,
give
yourself
a
break
from
time
to
time.
Studies
have
shown
that
taking
a
break
to
recharge
when
you
feel
like
you’re
going
to
burn
out
helps
improve
your
productivity.
Reward
yourself.
If
you
want
to
stay
motivated
in
school,
you
need
something
to
look
forward
to.
Bargain
with
yourself:
if
you
study
for
two
hours,
you
can
watch
your
favorite
TV
show
at
8:00.
If
you
get
an
A
on
your
paper,
you’ll
take
the
whole
weekend
off
and
just
relax.
Remember
that
nobody
can
work
all
the
time.
Give
yourself
a
little
time
off
when
you
deserve
it.
Raise
your
heart
rate.
Studies
have
shown
that
exercising
for
as
little
as
ten
minutes
before
handling
a
task
can
improve
performance
by
increasing
the
flow
of
blood
to
the
brain.
The
effects
can
last
up
to
a
few
hours,
so
there’s
a
big
payoff
for
a
little
bit
of
exercise.
You
can
do
such
excise
as
jumping
rope,
doing
jumping
jacks,
running
in
place,
or
any
other
simple
activity
you
can
do
easily
in
your
room.

第二节(共5小题;每小题3分,共15分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,
并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Remembering
names
is
an
important
social
skill.
16
●Recite
and
repeat
in
conversation.
When
you
hear
a
person’s
name,
repeat
it.
Immediately
say
it
to
yourself
several
times
without
moving
your
lips.
You
could
also
repeat
the
name
in
a
way
that
does
not
sound
forced
or
artificial.
●Ask
the
other
person
to
recite
and
repeat.
You
can
let
other
people
help
you
remember
their
names.
After
you’ve
been
introduced
to
someone,
ask
that
person
to
spell
the
name
and
pronounce
it
correctly
for
you.
17
●Admit
you
don’t
know
Admitting
that
you
can’t
remember
someone’s
name
can
actually
make
people
relaxed.
Most
of
them
will
feel
sympathy
if
you
say.
“I’m
working
to
remember
names
better.
18
What
is
it
again ”
●Use
associations

Link
each
person
yon
meet
with
one
thing
out
find
interesting
or
unusual.
For
example,
you
could
make
a
mental
note:
“Vicki
Cheng---tall,
black
hair.”
To
reinforce
you’re
your
associations,
write
them
on
a
small
card
as
soon
as
possible.

19

When
meeting
a
group
of
people,
concentrate
on
remembering
just
two
or
three
names.
Free
yourself
from
remembering
every
one.
Few
of
the
people
in
mass
introductions
expect
you
to
remember
their
names.
Another
way
is
to
limit
yourself
to
learning
just
first
names.
Last
names
can
come
later.
●Go
early

Consider
going
early
to
conferences,
parties
and
classes.
Sometimes
just
a
few
people
show
up
on
time.
20
And
as
more
people
arrive,
you
can
hear
them
being
introduced
to
others---an
automatic
review
for
you.
A.
That’s
fewer
names
for
you
to
remember.
B.
Limit
the
number
of
new
names
you
learn
at
one
time.
C.
Remember
a
name
at
a
time.
D.
Here
are
some
ways
to
master
it.
E.
Most
people
will
be
pleased
by
the
effort
you’re
making
to
learn
their
names
F.
Most
people
will
be
pleased
with
your
hard
work.
G.
Yours
is
right
on
the
tip
of
my
tongue.

At
school,
it
was
always
the
boys
who
played
basketball
during
PE
classes.
The
girls
were 4 allowed to
play
volleyball
or
badminton.

My
parents
did
not 5 me
play
basketball
at
home.
"Basketball
is
not
fit
for
girls,"
they
said. 6 I
went to
play
basketball
with
my
friends,
boys 7 at
me
on
the
court
as
if
I
were
an
alien
(外星人).

I
was
feeling 8 and
had
lost
hope
of
playing
basketball. 9 ,
something
changed
the
first
day
of
high school.
I
made
some
friends
who
also
enjoyed
playing
basketball.
They 10 me
to
get
back
on
the
court. One
of
them
told
me
with
a
smile,
"Go
your
own 11 ,
let
others
talk."
This
girl
would
always
play basketball
with
me.
Even
the
boy
who
sat
next
to
me
in
class
talked
about 12 with
me
almost
every
day.

I
was
inspired
by
them.
Confidence
and
passion 13 to
my
heart.
I
am
ready
to
stand
up
and
play.
I will
play
as
well
as
I
can, 14 for
me,
even
the
sky
is
boundless
(无限的).

Basketball
has
become
an
important
part
of
my 15 .
I
am
interested
in
it.
I
watch
matches
and
enjoy playing
almost
every
day.
Through
basketball,
not
only
do
I
feel
happy
and
confident,
but
also 16 a
lot.

I"ve
heard
the
NBA
star
Tracy
McGrady
say,
"Nothing
is
impossible."
It
is
from
an
advertisement
on
TV.I
have 17 to
realize
that
life
is
just
like
playing
basketball.
You
should
have
an 18 .
After
that,
just
be confident
and 19 going.
Never
give
up
and
you"ll
make
it
sooner
or
later.

I
love
the
motto
(口号)
of
the
NBA.
It
can 20 my
strong
feelings
for

"I

this
game!"

第二部分
英语知识运用(共两节,满分55分)
第二节
语法填空
(共10小题,每小题1.5分,共15分)
阅读下面材料,在空白处填入适当的内容(1个单词)或括号内单词的正确形式。
People
do
have
different
ideas
about
what
__41___(wear).
While
young
people
tend
to
consider
more
about
fashion,
personality
and
how
they
look
when
42
(choose)
clothes,
elderly
people
pay
43
(great)
attention
to
whether
they
appear
right,
they
feel
comfortable
as
well
as
whether
the
material
is
worth
44
price.
How
people
get
dressed
also
changes
over
time.
Take
China
45
an
example.
In
the
1960’s
and
1970’s,
there
were
practically
only
two
or
three
colors
people
wore-blue,
green
and
gray.
The
styles
of
the
clothes
46
(be)
also
very
dell.
In
the
1980’s
young
people
would
only
wear
47
was
in
fashion.
48
(recent),
we
have
come
to
understand
that
the
way
you
dress
49
(you)
is
a
reflection
of
your
occupation,
your
background
and
your
personality.
So
we
see
different
people
wear
different
clothes
according
to
occasions,
their
likes
and
50
(feel).
第三部分
写作(共两节,满分35分)
第一节
短文改错
(共10小题;每小题1分,满分10分)
假定英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文,请你修改你同桌的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误,每句中最多有两处,每处错误仅涉及一个单词的增加,删除或修改。
增加:
在缺词处加一个漏字符号(^),并在其下面写出该加的词。
删除:把多余的词用斜线(\)划掉。
修改:
在错词下划一横线,并在该词下面写出修改后的词。
Some
old
people
are
not
taken
good
care.
Their
children
don't
visit
themselves
regularly.
They
don't
have
proper
food
or
medicine
when
they
are
ill.
The
reasons
for
this
are
clearly.
For
one
thing,
many
young
people
are
so
busy
to
look
after
their
old
parents.
For
another,
some
young
people
think
it
heavy
burden
to
spend
a
lot
of
money
on
their
parents.
It
is
the
Chinese
tradition
respect
the
old
and
protect
the
young.
The
old
people
deserve
our
attention
and
love
because
they
have
made
great
contribution
to
our
society.
If
that
we
don't
treat
the
old
properly
today,
we
will
be
badly
treated
when
we
got
old.
Let's
take
action
from
now
on.
Let's
show
concern
to
the
old
around
us.
