一、Teaching aims:
1. To learn some words about transportation: plane, boat, train, jeep.
2. To learn to use them on different occasions.
3. To express what the students can see.
二、Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Greetings.
2. Daily talk.
3. Enjoy a song ‘At the market’.
Step 2 Presentation and Practice
1. Talk about the market and teach the new sentence: ‘I can see….’
2. Show a kaleidoscope and teach the new sentence ‘What can you see ’
3. Guessing game -let students guess the new word ‘plane’.
4. Show a picture and teach ‘boat’.
5. Group work.
6. Listen and guess – Teach the new words ‘train’ and ‘boat’.
Step 3 Practice and Consolidation
1. Review the words.
2. Fun time – Practice the sentences: ‘What can you see I can see…’
3. Sing a song.
4. Read the book.
5. Happy hour – Let the students play by themselves.
Step 4 Conclusion
Compare two groups of pictures and then tell students not to litter in public.
Step 5 Homework
Visit the zoo and the park with partners, then talk about what they can see.
