Unit 7 A busy day
The second period
教学目标:
1.认知目标
(1)、能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词past, half, a quarter past, to, a quarter to,并能用其表达时间。
(2)、能用句型What time is it It’s …询问时间,并用It’s time to… It’s time for…提出相关建议。
2.能力目标:
学生能用英语进行生活交际,并能在各种实际情境中灵活运用时间的表达法。同时通过调查让学生体会合作的重要性。
教学重点、难点:
1.教学重点是能用past, half, a quarter past, to, a quarter to等词表达时间。
2.教学难点是It’s time to… 与It’s time for…在用法上的区别。
教学过程:
Step1. Free talk
What’s the weather like today
What date is it today
Review the number
What day is it today
Review days 出示课题,Sunday is a busy day.
Step2. Presentation
1. 复习整点时间(show the first timetable and ask)
T: What time do I get up
S1: You get up at seven o’clock.
T: What time do I have lunch
S2: You have lunch at twelve o’clock.
T to S2: What time do you go to bed
S2: I go to bed at…
T: What time do I go to bed, do you want to know Is it late Let’s look at this clock.
2. 教授新句型“What time is it It’s …”
T: What’s the time
S: It’s ten o’clock.
T: What time is it
S: It’s ten o’clock.
Read the new sentence, and ask the students to practice.
3.教授past, half, a quarter past, to, a quarter to
a. Teach” past”,
T: On Sundays, I also have some other things to do. For example : go running
(Show the second timetable and some questions)
T: What time do I go running
S: (help to answer) You go running at seven ten.
(Show the CAI and teach the new phrases)
带领学生将时间表上的活动都重复一遍,之后让其记忆。
T: I think you can remember my timetable. Now, can you tell me what time do I go running
S: You go running at eight ten.
T: Yes, I go running at seven ten. We can also say I go running at ten past seven.
Read” past” and give the students some time to practice. Then use the clock on the blackboard to practice.
b. Teach” a quarter ”
T: What time do I go shopping
S: You go shopping at nine fifteen.
T: Yes, we can also say I go shopping at a quarter past nine.
Read” a quarter ” and give the students some time to practice.
Using the above way to teach” half, to, a quarter to”
教授其他新授单词时,运用各种不同的练习方式。
3. Summary and say a rhyme
4. Play a game: 猜时间
(After the game) T: Group … is the winner. They can get some cards.
(Ask a student) T: Who is he
S: He’s Xiaoxin.
T: Do you like Xiaoxin I think he’s an interesting boy. Let’s look at Xiaoxin’s timetable.
(Show Xiaoxin’s timetable)
T: Look at the times and the pictures. Please give him some suggestion. You should use” It’s time to…”
(Give the student an example.)
S: It’s eight o’clock. It’s time to have breakfast.
T: Yes, you’re right. We can also say it’s time for breakfast and it’s time for having breakfast.
Read the new sentences and teach the new sentences.
帮助学生理解It’s time to… 和It’s time for…的区别
Step3. Consolidation
1. Make some dialogues
a. T: Now, Xiaoxin is talking to his mother. What are they talking about Let’s listen.
Listen to the dialogue and complete the dialogue
b. Listen again and ask the students to read the dialogue
c. Give them the other pictures and ask them to make a new dialogue.
d. Look at the pictures on the book and practice in two.
Step4. Home work
1, Copy the new words of Part B.
2,Make a dialogue in Pairs with Part C.
