How
many
men
do
housework
Recently
a
European
commission(委员会)
tried
to
find
out
people’s
ideas
and
reactions
to
the
women’s
movement.
As
part
of
their
survey(调查),
they
asked
many
men
and
women
the
question,
“Who
does
the
housework ”
The
men
answered
very
differently
from
the
women!
The
housework
they
asked
people
about
were:

meals,
washing

48%

said

But
only
15%

said
they

many

them
said
they
never
helped
at
all.
But
there
was
an
interesting
point
of
view
from
the
wives.
According
to
British
wives,
only
38%
of
their
husbands
helped
in
the
house.
And
Italian
wives
said
that
their
husbands
hardly
ever
helped.
The
Italian
and
British
men
did
not
tell
the
truth!
The
Commission
found
that
Danish
men
were
the
most
truthful
husbands;
their
answers
were
the
same
as
their
wives’
answers.
Do
the
men

Do

the
survey
gives

picture
in
your
experience

B
Early
in
the
16th
century
men
were
trying
to
reach
Asia
by
traveling
west
from
Europe.
In
order
to
find
Asia
they
had
to
find
a
way
past
South
America.
The
man
who
finally
found
the
way
from
the
Atlantic
Ocean
to
the
Pacific
was
Ferdinand
Magellan
(麦哲伦).
Magellan
sailed
from
Seville
in
August,
1519
with
five
ships
and
about
280
men.
Fourteen
months
later,
after
spending
the
cold
winter
on
the
coast
of
Patagonia,
he
discovered
the
channel
which
is
now
called
Magellan
Strait(海峡).
In
November,
1520,
after
many
months
of
dangers
from
rocks
and
storms,
the
three
remaining
ships
entered
the
ocean
on
the
other
side
of
South
America.
They
then
continued,
hoping
to
reach
Asia.
But
they
did
not
see
any
land
until
they
reached
the
islands
off
the
coast
of
Asia.
Before
they
arrived
at
these
islands,
later
known
as
the
Philippines,
men
were
dying
of
starvation.
While
they
were
staying
in
the
Philippines,
Magellan
was
killed
in
battle.
The
remaining
officers
then
had
to
get
back
to
Spain.
They
decided
to
sail
round
Africa.
After
many
difficulties,
one
ship
with
eighteen
men
sailed
into
Seville
three
years
after
leaving.
They
were
all
that
remained
of
Magellan’s
expedition.
However,
their
achievement
was
great.
They
were
the
first
men
to
sail
round
the
world.
25.
The
purpose
of
Magellan’s
expedition
was
to
________.
A.
sail
round
the
world
B.
find
a
seaway
from
the
Atlantic
to
the
Pacific
C.
make
a
voyage
to
Asia
D.
carry
men
to
Philippines
26.The
number
of
the
ships
lost
on
the
whole
expedition
was
.
A.
two
B.
three
C.
four
D.
five
27.
Which
of
the
following
is
NOT
mentioned
in
the
passage
concerning
the
expedition
A.
Lack
of
equipment.
B.
Cold
winter
in
Patagonia.
C.
The
death
of
Magellan.
D.
Dangers
from
rocks
and
storms.
28.
The
best
title
for
this
passage
is
________.
A.
The
Discovery
of
Magellan’s
Strait
B.
The
Discovery
of
the
Philippines
C.
The
Most
Dangerous
Expedition
D.
The
First
Expedition
to

C
Sometimes
children
do
not
do
what
their
parents
tell
them
to
do.
When
this
happens,
a
parent
tries
to
help
the
child
to
do
the
right
thing.
When
this
does
not
work,
the
parent
usually
punishes
the
child.
There
are
many
things
that
a
parent
can
do.
One
thing
that
people
have
done
is
to
spank
(打屁股)
the
child.
When
a
parent
spanks
a
child,
they
will
use
their
hand
or
a
hard
object
to
strike
them
on
their
bottom.
This
is
meant
to
show
the
child
that
they
have
done
something
wrong.
One
parent
remembers
being
spanked
when
he
was
a
child.
His
parents
used
a
wooden
spoon.
When
he
spanked
his
own
children
with
his
hand,
he
saw
that
he
put
a
red
mark
on
his
child's
leg.
He
never
did
that
again.
One
problem
with
spanking
is
that
it
teaches
the
child
to
hit
someone
when
they
do
not
like
what
the
other
person
is
doing.
Another
problem
with
spanking
is
that
the
parent
is
usually
angry
and
can
hit
the
child
too
hard.
Sometimes
parents
will
use
spanking
for
everything
and
not
try
other
ways
to
get
the
child
to
do
the
right
thing.
Many
parents
are
not
sure
of
what
to
do
instead
of
spanking.
Some
people
think
that
their
religion
(宗教)tells
them
that
spanking
is
okay.
Some
think
that
the
law
lets
them
do
it.
The
courts
(法院)
say
that
parents
have
the
right
to
teach
their
children
how
to
behave.
Other
things
should
be
tried
before
a
parent
decides
to
spank
a
child.
Telling
the
child
exactly
what
is
wanted
from
them
can
be
one
thing.
Giving
a
child
more
than
one
choice
is
another
thing
that
can
be
tried.
Getting
down
to
the
child's
level
and
taking
a
more
child-friendly
approach
(方法)
can
help
as
well.
29.
According
to
the
passage,
when
children
do
something
wrong,
one
thing
that
parents
usually
do
to
punish
them
is
to
________.
A.
strike
them
on
the
bottom
B.
try
to
help
them
do
the
right
thing
C.
teach
them
what
to
do
D.
take
them
to
court
30.
Which
of
the
following
is
NOT
the
problem
caused
by
spanking
A.
It
teaches
the
child
to
hit
others
when
they
offend
him
or
her.
B.
The
parent
may
get
angry
and
hit
the
child
too
hard.
C.
Sometimes
parents
may
use
spanking
for
everything.
D.
It
makes
parents
try
other
ways
to
make
the
child
do
right.
31.
Which
of
the
following
can
best
describe
the
writer's
attitude
towards
spanking
A.
favorable
B.
indifferent
(不关心)
C.
interested
D.
unfavorable
32.
From
this
passage,
we
can
conclude(作出结论)
that
________.
A.
Good
children
always
do
the
right
thing.
B.
Parents
should
try
their
best
to
avoid
spanking
their
children.
C.
Parents
have
no
choice
but
to
spank
their
children
when
they
do
something
wrong.
D.
Children
can
have
more
than
one
choice
to
avoid
being
spanked.
D
A
policeman
was
questioning
3
blondes
who
were
training
to
become
detectives(侦探).
To
test
their
skills
in
recognizing
a
suspect,
he
shows
the
first
blonde
a
picture
for
5
seconds
and
then
hides
it.
“This
is
your
suspect,
how
would
you
recognize
him "
The
first
blonde
answers,
"That's
easy,
we'll
catch
him
fast
because
he
only
has
one
eye!"
The
policeman
says,
"Well---uh---that's
because
the
picture
shows
his
profile."
Slightly
confused
by
this
ridiculous
response,
he
flashes
the
picture
for
5
seconds
at
the
second
blonde
and
asks
her,
"This
is
your
suspect,
how
would
you
recognize
him "
The
second
blonde
giggles,
flips
her
hair
and
says,
"Ha!
He'd
be
too
easy
to
catch
because
he
only
has
one
ear!"
The
policeman
angrily
responds,
"What's
the
matter
with
you
two
Of
course
only
one
eye
and
one
ear
are
SHOWING
because
it's
a
picture
of
his
profile!
Is
that
the
best
answer
you
can
come
up
with "
Extremely
frustrated
at
this
point,
he
shows
the
picture
to
the
third
blonde
and
in
a
very
testy
voice
asks
"This
is
your
suspect,
and
how
would
you
recognize
him "
He
quickly
adds,
"Think
hard
before
giving
me
a
stupid
answer."
The
blonde
looks
at
the
picture
intently
for
a
moment
and
says,
"Hmmmm
---
the
suspect
wears
contact
lenses(隐形眼镜).”
The
policeman
is
surprised
and
speechless
because
he
really
doesn't
know
himself
if
the
suspect
wears
contacts
or
not.
"Well,
that's
an
interesting
answer
---
wait
here
for
a
few
minutes
while
I
check
his
file
and
I’ll
get
back
to
you
on
that."
He
leaves
the
room
and
goes
to
his
office,
checks
the
suspect's
file
in
his
computer,
and
comes
back
with
a
beaming
smile
on
his
face.
"Wow!
I
can't
believe
it
---
it's
TRUE!
The
suspect
does
in
fact
wear
contact
lenses.Good
work!
How
were
you
able
to
make
such
an
acute
observation "
"That's
easy,"
the
blonde
replied.
"He
can't
wear
regular
glasses
because
he
only
has
one
eye
and
one
ear."
33.

the
policeman
show
a
picture
to

英语知识运用(共两节,满分55)
第一节
完形填空(共20小题;每小题2分,满分40分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
In
the
depths
of
my
memory,
many
things
I
did
with
my
father
still
live.
These
things
come
to
represent,
in
fact,
what
I
call
41
and
love.
I
don’t
remember
my
father
ever
getting
into
a
swimming
pool.
But
he
did
42
the
water.
Any
kind
of
43
ride
seemed
to
give
him
pleasure.
44
he
loved
to
fish;
sometimes
he
took
me
along.
But
I
never
really
liked
being
on
the
water,
the
way
my
father
did.
I
liked
being
45
the
water,
moving
through
it,
46
it
all
around
me.
I
was
not
a
strong
47
,
or
one
who
learned
to
swim
early,
for
I
had
my
48
.
But
I
loved
being
in
the
swimming
pool
close
to
my
father’s
office
and
49
those
summer
days
with
my
father,
who
50
come
by
on
a
break.
I
needed
him
to
see
what
I
could
do.
My
father
would
stand
there
in
his
suit,
the
51
person
not
in
swimsuit.
After
swimming,
I
would
go
52
his
office
and
sit
on
the
wooden
chair
in
front
of
his
big
desk,
where
he
let
me
53
anything
I
found
in
his
top
desk
drawer.
Sometimes,
if
I
was
left
alone
at
his
desk
54
he
worked
in
the
lab,
an
assistant
or
a
student
might
come
in
and
tell
me
perhaps
I
shouldn’t
be
playing
with
his
55
.
But
my
father
always
56
and
said
easily,
“Oh,
no,
it’s
57
.”
Sometimes
he
handed
me
coins
and
told
me
to
get
58
an
ice
cream…
A
poet
once
said,
“We
look
at
life
once,
in
childhood,;
the
rest
is
59
.”
And
I
think
it
is
not
only
what
we
“look
at
once,
in
childhood”
that
determines
our
memories,
but
60
,
in
that
childhood,
look
at
us.

第Ⅱ卷
第二节
语法填空(共10小题;每小题1.5分,满分15分)
阅读下面材料,在空白处填入适当的内容(1个单词)或所给单词的正确形式。
Many
of
my
friends
meet
on
Wednesday
mornings
to
go
to
a
specific
sale
61
(hold)
at
a
second-hand
store.
We love
it
because
we
can
put
whatever
things
for just
$1.
As
we
finished
one
day,
we
noticed
the
clothing
that
had
not
been
sold
was
going
to
62
(throw)
away.
We
went
over
and
asked
those
who
threw
away
the
clothing
63
they
didn’t
donate
the
clothing
to
poor
people.
They
said
they
were
too
busy
to
do
it.
We
said
that
we
could
do
it
for
them.
They
agreed,
so
we
took
it
to
our
city
64
(joyful).
We
have
done
this
for
2
years!
We
opened
up
a
clothing
store
called
Gifts
of
Graces.
We
provide
clothing
for
anyone
65
is
really
in
need
of
it
in
our
community
for
free.
So
far
we
66
(serve)hundreds
of
families
with
the
clothing
that
other
people
were
just
going
to
throw
away.
Now
our
community
is
becoming
increasingly
67
(good)
because
of
it.
Their
lives
have
been
made
a
bit
easier
because
68
this
opportunity
to
find
nice
clothing
for
free.
This
teaches
us
69
lesson
that
one
person’s
trash
is
always
treasure
for
70
person!

The

The

China

me

It
was
when
I

in
Junior

I

China

I
had
many
problems
learning

In

my

my

introduced
the

I
