一、教学目标
（一）认知目标：
1.能听懂、会说、会读、会拼写单词letter .penfriend.writing paper.envelope.glue.both.address.
2.能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语I hope so. Can I have… What for I want to…
（二）技能目标:
1.能够用英语作自我介绍和询问他人情况。
2.引导学生运用所学语言参与实际交流，来培养学生的综合语言运用能力。
（三）情感目标：
1.通过与他人的写信结交朋友，来激发学生学习英语的兴趣及运用英语交流的热情，提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。
二、教学重、难点：
学生能够用英语作自我介绍和询问他人情况。
三、课前准备：
多媒体课件，一些信纸。
四、教学过程：
Step 1 Free talk
What day is it today
What’s the weather like today
Tomorrow is Saturday, what are you going to do
I’m going to go climbing, I like climbing.
Do you have any hobbies
Oh, you and he both have the same hobbies.
Read “both”
Step 2 Presentation
Do you know Liu Tao’s hobby
He likes reading newspapers. Yesterday afternoon he read an English boy. Who’s the boy
This is Peter’s information. What do you know
Can you introduce Peter
What does Peter want to do
Learn the word: penfriend
Liu Tao wants to be his penfriend.So he writes a letter to Peter.

What does Liu Tao need
Learn: some writing paper, an envelope, some stamps, some glue
But Liu Tao doesn’t have any, so he asks his mother.
Listen to the tape recorder
Look at the pictures and talk to your partner.

I am in No.3 Primary School. My school is not big, but it is very beautiful. There are some trees and a lot of flowers in it. We study Chinese , Maths, Science , Art, PE and some other subjects. I like English best. I’m good at playing volleyball. My hobbies are playing computer games and swimming.
