Step1. Revision:
Sing a song: We had a lovely day!
T: Yesterday, I made a powerpoint, but I didn’t finish it. Can you help me to finish it together
Ask some students to type the past tense of the words one by one.
(see---saw; eat---ate; go---went; buy---bought; climb---climbed)
Step2. Lead in:
T: You did a good job. Let’s play a game, hangman. OK
T: Sunday is a holiday.
Write down the sentence. Guess the meaning.
Ask some students to say some other holidays.
Step3. Presentation:
T: Is today a holiday Was yesterday a holiday Was last Sunday a holiday Where did you go last Sunday
S: I went to ….
Ask some students to answer the same questions.
T: Who can ask me this question
S: Where did you go
Write down the sentence on the blackboard.
Drill: 2 by 2
Chain work.
S1: Where did you go S2: I went to….Where did you go S3:….
T: Last Sunday, I went to many places. Where did I go Please ask me the question and try to get the answer.
A game: magic eyes.
T: Last Sunday night, I stayed at home and played computer. I looked for some pictures from the internet. The pictures are very interesting. Do you want to have a look

Ask some students to answer the questions: Where did you go last Sunday What did you see
T: Who can ask me the questions

Talk about department store and park in the same way.
Task1: Talk about the picture in pairs. Use the sentence patterns: Where did you go What did you see
Ask some pairs to perform it.
Step5. Text:
T: It was a holiday last Sunday. Where did the students go What did they see Let’s listen to the tape.
Answer questions:

(3)Where did the girl go
Listen and repeat it sentence by sentence.
Practice in 3.
Step6. Performance:
Ask 3 students to make a dialogue with the teacher.
