Lesson 3 At the gym
教学目标:
1、知识技能:能听、说、读、写的单词:light heavy catch hit throw
2、过程与方法:、在自主的学习成功的体验中,进一步提高学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性,提高学生用英语交际的能力。学生能自由替换练习,并进行小组活动,培养学生初步运用英语的能力,培养学生听、说、唱、玩、演的能力。
3、情感态度:让学生在感受英语学习的内容美、形式美的同时,养成良好的学习习惯,做到互助互爱,培养其相互合作的精神。了解西方文化和习惯,树立乐观向上的学习态度。
教学重点:
能听懂、会说、会读和会写本课四会单词。
教学难点:
能听、说、读、写的单词:light heavy catch hit throw
教学过程:
一 Class opening and review
1.Game:“learn”and“teach”with a game。Ask for two volunteers 。Whisper to them that you want one volunteer to be a teacher and the other to be a student。Such as:
Who is the teacher?
Who is the student?
What is the teacher doing?(Teaching)
What is the student doing?(Learning)
What is she/he teaching/learning?
2.T:Hello, class! What’s your favourite sports
S:My favourite sport is ____.
T:I want to learn basketball/ping-pong. Can you teach me
S:Yes.
(设计意图:开头直接提出老师想学打篮球和乒乓球,让学生做小老师教,激发了学生的学习兴趣,增强了学生的自信心。)
二 New concept
Demonstrate “heavy”and “light”with real heavy and light objects. Such as a rock and a feather. Where else do you see the word “light” S: Christmas lights, traffic lights.
(设计意图: 用实物展示,创设真实情景,为学生提供一个极佳的语言实践机会。)
2. Now let’s play a game “throw and catch”. Then the teacher throw and catch a ping-pong ball.
T: Do you know the words “throw, catch” S: 仍,接住。
The students play the game and say “ I’m going to throw the ball to S1. Catch it.”
(设计意图: 在游戏与竞赛中巩固新单词,并联系了旧知识,克服了枯燥乏味的记忆方法,使学生乐学、好学,主动记忆。)
3. When we play ping-pong, we don’t throw and catch the ball. We hit the ball. “hit”, 打,击。
T: S1, please hit the ball to S2. What’s he doing S3: He’s hitting the ball to S2.
4. Listen to the audiotape and answer the questions. What does Danny want to learn Can Danny throw the basketball at the net What can he do Can Danny play ping-pong What happened next
三 Role-play: Let’s learn to play sports.
Eg: I want to learn basketball/ping-pong.
Can you teach me ,catch, I’m throwing …
(设计意图:这节课的教学可在教室布置环境也可以到操场去上,让学生真正体会篮球和乒乓球运动,激发学习兴趣。在句子中学习单词,做到词不离句,最后过度到对话练习,形成篇章,对学生的综合语言运用能力有了很大的提升。)
