some pictures,some vocabulary cards and one tape-recorder

五.Teaching steps:
Step 1.Organizing the teaching
1.Greetings
2.Sing an English song.
Step 2. Revision
1.Play “Simon says” to review “skip” “fly” “swim”and any other words.
Ask the Ss to flap their arms like birds for “fly”.
Step 3.Key concepts:
player team game win/lose
1.Introduce:
a. Demonstrate “sand” with some real sand, or use the poster of the beach.
Use phrases such as:
This is sand.
There is sand on a beach.
I like to make things with sand.
b.Use the poster to introduce “ocean” and “beach”.
2.Student book :
Play the audiotape as the Ss follow along their books.
3.Practice:
a.Play “Go fish” with vocabulary cards for the following words:
ocean, beach, sand, swimsuit, sandals, flower, leaves, grass, park, cloud and sky.
b.Divide the class into pairs.
Ask the Ss to tell each other what they will do this summer.
Brainstorm possible vocabulary with the class first
(such as “visit my cousin” “play sports” “go shopping” “help my family”).
六.Students’ activity:
1.Sing an English song.
2.Play “Simon says”.
3.Imitation: Imitate the audiotape.
4.Play “go fish”
5.Pairwork to tell each other what they will do this summer.
