Activity 1:Revision 1. Ask some pupils to act out the dialogue of Unit 5 in class.2. Check the answers of Ex2 on P22 Review Unit 5 and get ready for the new content
Activity 2:PresentationandPractice 1. Show the pupils pictures and teach “dance---dancing” “a model ship, making a model ship” “lake”, compare “river, sea” with “lake”2. Introduce and let the pupils do Ex1 on P24, then check the answers3. Do Ex2( Show an example, let the pupils practise in pairs, then check their dialogue)Example: pic1Teacher: What is Jill doing Pupil1: She is walking by the lake. Teacher: Is she enjoying it Pupil2: Yes, she is. Get ready for the Ex.To practise readingTo practice the questions of the present continuous
Activity 3:Development 1. Game: It’s funny! (Play in four-pupil groups)Each pupil has a small piece of paper .The first pupil writes down “who”(names of his classmate)on his paper, the second pupil writes down the actions(is+V-ing), the third pupil writes down “where”(the place).They write individually without looking at each other. The fourth pupil makes a sentence by putting the words together. They can get a funny sentence. Eg. Chenxi is singing in a box. /Fan Junpeng is eating an apple on the lake.2.
