Teaching content:
本单元在What’t this/that 的基础上,进一步引导学生运用一般疑问句Is this/that… 去确认周围的常见事物。为配合“认物”这一功能项目的展开,本单元所教的词汇也可以日常生活中的一些常见物品为主。应注意的是,问句中的this或that在回答时要用it代替,以免重复。
Teaching Aims:
1. Ss can understand, read, say and spell the words: key, clock, watch, computer, camera, radio
2. Ss can understand, read, write and say the sentences:
May I come in Come in, please.
Is this /that ….Yes, it is./No ,it isn’t .It’s ……
What a nice ……! Can I have a look Sure. Here you are   
3. Ss can say the rhyme
4. 掌握sure的正确发音
Teaching main and difficult points:

Step 1 warm up
1. Greetings:
   Good morning/afternoon.
How are you
2.Sing a song “A B C song”
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1.S1: 报告,我可以进来吗?
T: Come in, please. (挥手示意S1进教室。出示中文:请进。)
Ss read and repeat: Come in, please. (板书)
T: 如果你迟到了,或是想进入他人的房间,你可以说:“May I come in ”
(出示中文: 我可以进来吗?)Understand
Ss: Yes.
Ss read and repeat: May I come in (板书)
A: May I come in
B: Come in, please.
教师或学生故意走出教室再回来,来操练这个句型。
(出示A部分第一段对话挂图,学生小组看图对话。)
2. Review the sentences: “What’s this / that in English
What’s this / that in/ on … It’s … .”
3. learn to say : “radio” “camera”
and “Is this…… Yes ,it is ./No ,it isn’t .It’s ……”
(1). T: Is this a knife / tape…
Ss: Yes.
T: You can say “Yes, it is.”
Ss read and repeat :Is this … Yes, it is. (板书)
(2). T: Is this a pen / storybook/ school bag…
Ss: No, it’s a pencil/ copybook / bag…
T: Oh, I see. / Thank you.
Ss read and repeat: Is this … No, it isn’t.(板书)
(3). Play a game (put a box on the teacher’s desk.)Touch and guess
“What’s in the box ”请学生上台闭上眼睛,用Is this … 的句型,
猜出盒子里的东西。台下的学生用Yes, it is / No ,it isn’t I t’s 回答。
在盒子里放照相机learn the new word “camera”
T: Is this a camera
S: Yes, it is.

4. Learn to say: “What a nice …!”
T: Is this a telephone
Ss: Yes, it is.
T: How nice! / It’s nice. / What a nice telephone!

Ss模仿造句: What a nice ruler/ pencil/ pen ….
5.(出示A部分第一二两段对话挂图,学生小组看图对话。)

6. Learn to say: “Can I have a look ” “Sure,Here you are.”
T:Is this a camera
S: No, It isn’t .It’s a pencil box.
T: What a nice pencil box! Can I have a look (做出要看一下的姿势)
S: OK! (教师帮助回答Sure. Here you are.)
T: Thank you.
在学生明确其意的基础上出示并领读句型Can I have a look 及其回答Sure. Here you are.
(出示A部分第三四两段对话挂图,学生小组看图对话。)
