1.教师出示一张日历表，问学生：Do you know how many months there are in a year 学生回答：Twelve.教师说：Yes，there are twelve months in a year. And we know January is the first month in a year.让学生理解first的意思，教师板书，带读此单词，并拼写诙词。在first旁写上“lst”．告诉学生这是first的缩写形式。
2.同法教学“second”到“fifth”，同时写出相应的基数词，让学生认真观察，自己归纳总结从基数词到序数词的变形规律。2-1-c-n-j-y
①基数词变序数词的口诀：
一，二，三，特殊变，八去t，九去e，ve用f来替换，最后再加th。整十去y改ie，然后再加th。
②序数词的缩写形式
序数词的缩写形式是：阿拉伯数字十序数词词尾的后两个字母lst，2nd，3rd。其余是：阿拉伯数字+th，注意th的发音。21教育网

向学生解释日期的表达法、：月份十序数词，特别要提醒学生的是朗读时要在序数词前加上定冠词the。
5.借助课件，依次显示1～5日的日期，让学生用英文表达出来。
