Teaching steps:
复习、热身:
Greetings.
通过快速反应游戏，复习将在课文中出现的旧单词：supermarket, birthday card, carry, buy, help, careful, fall.
复习现在进行时。
老师用ppt出示一张照片: Look! There is a girl in the photo. What is she doing She is play the guitar.
老师再出示其他照片，让个别学生用现在进行时的句型描述照片上人物的动作。
呈现新知:
创设情境教授“Who can help me I can help you.”
(1)T: (出示一张其他班级同学的照片)Look! This is a girl. She is playing the zither. But I don’t know who is she What’s her name
T:(向确定不认识图中人物的同学提问)××，what's her name Can you help me S1: No, I can't.
T: Oh, you can't help me. It doesn't matter. Thank you.
T: ××, Can you help me
S2: No, I can't.
T: Ah, you can't help me, too.
T: (问全体学生) Who can help me Who can tell me what her name is Who can help me (板书： Who can help me？)
S3: I can help you. Her name is ××.
T: Thank you very much.
(2)老师出示另外一张照片。
T: Look! This is a lovely girl. She is my cousin. She’s four years old. This Sunday is her birthday. I want to make a birthday card for her.
T: But I don’t know how to make a birthday card. Who can help me
Ss: I can help you. (引导多个举手的学生回答,并板书I can help you.)
T: Ok! Thank you! Let’s make a beautiful birthday card after school.
Teach “balloon”.
T: She likes balloons very much. I also want to buy some balloons for her. (出示一张气球的图片,教授balloon。师引导学生分组拼读单词balloon.)
Teach “fly away”
T: (出示一幅动画) Look at this picture. What are they
Ss: They are some balloons.
T: Yes. And what's happening to the balloons (PPT出现句子：The balloons are flying away. 板书：fly away)
T:（出示图片）What's happening to the kite
What’s happening to the newspaper？
（引导学生使用fly away回答： It’s flying away.）
(5)巩固本课新词：balloon，fly away
Teach the text:
T：刚才同学们所学的balloon，fly away，Who can help me？ I can help you.都是今天这节课的重点，同学都掌握的很好。Now，let’s learn the text of Module 4 Unit 1 I’m making Daming’s birthday card.(板书课题)
T: Before listening to the tape. I will show some questions to you.
I want you to answer the questions after listening the tape.
(出示问题)

What is she doing
Can Simon help mum Why
Who can help mum
What's happening to the oranges
What's happening to the balloons
(3)Ss: Listen to the tape and repeat.
(4)Get someone to answer the questions.
(5)Teach“Sorry， I can’t.”
T: 刚才老师向同学们求助，能够帮助我的同学都说： I can help you.
课文中的Simon因为忙着做生日卡片而不能帮助妈妈，他是怎么回答的呢？
Ss：Sorry, I can't.
T: 当他人向你求助，而你忙于其他事，不能提供帮助，你可以回答说？
Ss：Sorry， I can't. (老师板书： Sorry，I can’t.)
Make a short dialogue.
T: 每个人在生活中都会遇到困难与麻烦。请在四人小组中，模仿课本第三部分，编一个短小的对话。可以使用更多已学的语言，将对话变得完整、生活化。

T: When we are in trouble, how can we ask for help
Ss: Who can help me
T: And we also can say: Can you help me
When others are in trouble, how can we offer help
Ss: I can help you.
T: And we also can say: Let me help you.
When you are busy, you can't help others, what can you say
Ss: Sorry，I can't.
