Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
1. Say the rhyme: Days of the week.”一个星期有七天,小朋友们记心间。Sunday, Sunday, 星期天,猴子休息上公园。Monday, Monday, 星期一,猴子花钱坐飞机。Tuesday, Tuesday, 星期二,猴子屁股摔两半儿。Wednesday, Wednesday, 星期三,猴子爬上花果山。Thursday, Thursday, 星期四,猴子猴子去考试。Friday,Friday,星期五,猴子遇上大老虎。Saturday,Saturday,星期六,猴子上树摘石榴。”together .
Sing the song: There are seven days.
Step 2 Presentation
Put the food cards on the blackboard and say:”Look!This is our school lunch menu.”Make the Ss learn the word”menu”and the phrase”school lunch menu”.
To learn the sentences:On Monday we come to school by bus.We have lunch at school.The teacher point to the menu,say and act.Then write”On…we have…”on the blackboard,let the Ss practice.
Ask and answer.
A: What do you have for lunch on Monday
B: We have… and…
Practise in pairs.
The memory game.
Step 4 Consolidation.
Ask and answer freely.
Design a menu,then make a diague.
3. Listen and connect.(p17)
Listen to the tape & look at the English books and match. Listen to the tape again & repeat.
4.Listen and learn the English sounds.
Step 5 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
Finish off the activity book of Lesson 4.
