To demand Ss to hear and speak these words correctly:
Sitting room,bedroom,dining,room,kitchen,bathroom,study,
sofa,kettle,soap.
To demand Ss to hear and speak these sentences correctly:
Where are they They are in the sitting room.What are they doing They are having tea.
Can put the furniture in the right place and speak:Put the piano in the sitting room.
Teaching materials : tape recorder ; some cards
Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
To prepare some pictures or cards of furniture, put them in the right place.
Then review the words:piano,TV,computer,bed,desk,chair,vegetable,
Step 2 Learn to say
1.The teacher shows a card ,and put the furniture,learn to say the words: a sitting room,a bedroom,a dining,room,
a kitchen,a bathroom
2.Practise the words one by one.
3.Listen to the tape and read.
Step 3 Look,read and connect.
Learn to say:Put the…in the…
Listen to the tape and put the things in the right place.
Step 4 Ask and answer
Where are they They are in the sitting room.What are they doing They are having tea.
Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher
Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs
Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times .
Step 5 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
Finish off the activity book of Lesson 13.
